Feeling Hopeful
GENTLE JESUS
Gentle Jesus
knew no malice
all the years of his life.
He'd every reason
to forsake us, but chose
to be our sacrifice.
Gentle Jesus,
bless and keep me
in the shelter of your care.
Touch my life
with tender mercies, so with
others I may share.
Gentle Jesus
guide and counsel
for the world is full of strife.
May I spread
your words of solace for
all the days of my life.
Gentle Jesus
fill my heart and soul,
with your Spirit so sublime,
so in kindness I may
witness, to others, while
there yet is time.
Gentle Jesus,
sweetest Savior,
in a heavenly home above,
I need your forgiveness,
saving power, eternal love.
A Spirit gentle as a dove.
Thank you , Jesus
for helping me,
in loving others to
be more like Thee, and.
to someday see Thy face in
perfect glory, amazing grace.
