Mystery Solved

Picture from Hometown

When I flew into LAX from Texas, I was following the crowd to the baggage claim. A gentleman struggling with his baggage was trying to cross the path of the crowd. I paused to let him move past and that's when our eyes met. Then it dawned on me that I recognized him. I don't know if it's because of the moment of recognition that I was sure flashed across my face, or because of his sultry good looks, but I could feel the heat of a blush creep up my face.

It's not the first time I've seen a celebrity of some sort. You become accustomed to it in Los Angeles. My theory is to act like they are just anyone else and allow them to live a normal life. It drives me crazy though when I recognize someone and can't for the life of me figure out where I know them from.  With all the people that I've known in my life, I always go through my memory bank of long lost acquaintances and family friends. However, I knew he was a Soap Actor, but which one. It's been years since I watched any of them. I did a search but none of the sites I checked out were giving me quick results.

When I was home sick on Thursday, there was a commercial for Days of Our Lives and staring back at me was the dashing gentleman from the airport. His name is Thaao Penghlis. After reading his bio, I realized that it wasn't on Days of Our Lives that I had watched him. He was Victor Cassadine on General Hospital, back in the days of Luke and Laura, back in the days when I was a teenager. I thought he looked like a sultry older man back then and now I cringe at the thought that he doesn't look so old anymore. After all, he did make me blush.

Wow...I'm impressed. My mom is an avid 'Days Of Our Lives' fan. During the month she was here, we watched it everyday, much to Doug's dismay. LOL So yes...I'm familiar with "Tony" as he's called on the show.

How funny that he made you blush! Did you get belly butterflies too??? =)

    Love,

lol...great entry. I don't think I have ever run into a celebrity, but, you just don't know. I am not that great at remembering things like that. (names, faces)
the guy was probably waiting for you scream and come running at him for his autograph.
I'm like you, I don't like to fawn all over celebrities...give them room.

Thats very cool, Its funny that you think he doesn't look so old anymore. That happens as you get older. Plus doesn't it seem that people look better when they are older now a days.
