The School Look

These are some pages I worked on the other day that I wanted to give a school look to. I did all the drawing to make it look more like an assignment. I was also trying to see how much I could do on my own instead of using stickers and other made items. So the biggest things I used were markers.

My Work Space
I was on a scrapbooking website and everyone was posting pictures of their work areas. I thought it was a really cute idea so I thought I would post up pictures of my work area!

This is where I do most of my scrapbooking. I love to be next to the computer so that I can look up idea's!

When I am sitting at my desk I like to have pretty things surrounding me. I think it helps my creativity flow better. Plants for me are the best!

If I am not working at the desk then I have everything spread out on the floor.

Blizzard of 2008
It has been snowing for two days straight and I finally went outside with the children to see it. Thought I would share some pictures of Blizzard 2008!

Geometric Multi-Maker
Last weekend at the scrapbook convention I bought a geometric multi-maker. I thought it just looked so cool, and it is! It is a tool made by Creative Memories and I really got my money's worth! I could not be happier with it!

Here is a picture of it, doesn't it look so neat??? It punches 6 different designs into your paper. You just select which design you want it to make and press down on the square button on top.

This is what the bottom of it looks like. There is a slot where you insert the paper you want to put the design on.

This is the first craft I decided to make with it. It is stationary for writing a love note to your favorite person in the world.

A close up of the wonderful work the tool did! I punched in the design and then added a strip of paper to make it more unique!

Finally, what it looks like opened. A nice big area for writing your love letter.

Scrapbook Convention
Last weekend I was able to do something really exciting! I went to a scrapbooking convention with my mom and a friend. It was really amazing because there were over 1,000 people. It lasted from 8 AM to 8 PM. They handed out some free supplies and I was able to buy a ton of new tools! I am really happy about all the tools I bought, and it was hosted by Creative Memories.
Here are some pictures of what I did at the convention:

Paper Crafts for My Valentine
Every year I always make something for my husband for Valentine's Day. This year I decided to make him stuff out of paper, and I was pretty pleased with it.

Storms Last Night
Last night there were some serious storms that came through. They said on the weather channel that the same storm had caused at least 20 deaths. So in some areas there was 100 mph winds.
Luckily we did not see much of the storm where we are at. All we got was a ton of rain, lightning, and thunder. The winds were okay, so we got the good end of it. So much rain though!!! It is still raining today.
I have some pictures here of the creek in the back of our house. It has gotten pretty high because of the rain.

Mardi Gras
Since today is Mardi Gras we decided to do something fun! The children had a really great time with it and I think they learned more about Mardi Gras! I have some pictures to share so everyone can see for themselves!

This is the huge mess we made doing our little project! Yeah, I was the only one that would clean it up....

Here are the final creations! The bearded man is the one my son did, the white lady with the big red lips is the one my daughter did, and mine is the one with the pretty teeth!

Yeah... this one is mine... hahaha!

My daughter wearing hers!

My son wearing his!
