In the Midwest USA

We've had some wonderful nights performing through the South (Wilmington & Durham North Carolina and Atlanta) and now we find ourselves in the Midwestern USA.  The bus drive from Atlanta to Madison, Wisconsin was twelve hours, which is about the longest driving we would do.  Since we have a comfortable tour bus, with beds, kitchen and satallite TV, it helps make the drive easier.  Our bus driver, Sean, is amazing!

After performing in Madison & Platteville Wisconsin we have the day off today in Bloomington Indiana.  We've been told this is a big place for college basketball.  Driving in this morning we can see how everything in the town is about the University here (Indiana University).  We hope the audience for our show on Friday is excited by us as well.  We've been told the show is sold out so our expectations are high.

    Dear Ladysmith Black Mambazo,

From my family to your our warmest and deepest prayers are with you with the Home Going of your brother, Jockey.

I am truly excited that you will be visiting St Louis Missouri again this year on Saturday March 18th at the Sheldon COncert Hall.  Last year I was not abot to get tickets when you preformed in Edwardsville, IL.  So I purchased tickets for the show that was held at the University of Missouri in Rolla, about 90 miles from St. Louis.  I, my wife and then 5 year old son Katom experienced the true sense of music that touches the soul.  During the sing along, my son Katom was so loud Joseph recognized his strong voice and the audience clapped with appreciation.

We WILL be at the concert on the 18th in St. Louis and it will be a surprise to my son, who has been dancing along with Ladysmith since he was 2 years old.

I know you have a list of songs that you are scheduled to sing but my son loves the last song on the Shakza Zulu album "Wawusho Kuban? (Who Were You Talking To)" and if you take requests, I know my son would love that, but it might be hard to keep him from running on the stage and joining in.

Thank you for what you do,

    Eric and Kattrina Parnell
