Feeling Chillin'
I would like to share some stories that I love to remember about. It is about my Grandmother's beautiful cabin. I remember the drive it took to get to the cabin, and the music we would listen to. Which it depends on the person who was driving what station it was on. If it was my dad it was on K-ROQ he would always play The Cure, The Smiths or any other rock music. Or if it was my Aunt Debbie she would play Heart, Pat Benatar, Rod Stewart or other popular songs at the time. I remember sometimes sitting in the back of my Grandma's little blue Nissan which was so uncomfortable. Oh I would have so much fun there. I loved laying in the covered patio and listening to the stream below it was so relaxing. Every morning I spent there I would wake up to the wonderful smell of bacon and eggs or french toast. Now everytime I smell bacon and eggs I remember of the mornings in the cabin. One of things my grandma would remember all the time. It's kinda embarrasing for me. When my dad was in the driver seat video taping me (I was about 5) and my grandma running down the hill towards the cabin and I said "Grandma I need to go wee-wee". And my dad still has the tape. My cousin Jacqueline and I would have all sorts of adventures. I remember one adventure where we walked up the stream. when we got to the end of stream we found a waterfall and of course being young and adventurous we climbed to the top and I was afraid to get down only meof course. Oh how I miss those carefree days and my grandma's cabin. Now I wish my children could visit the cabin and explore it just like I did. But unfortunely it was destroyed by a fire three years ago. The last time I was there was August of 2000 and I will cherish every memory I have of it.
