This Week: Seahawks

Our bye week is over and we will now face the Seahawks later today. We need to win this game because we need to show them that we still have a chance in this division.

I see no reason why we would not win this game. Our offense has been doing great and since Bulger is now back from his injury, there should be even better results coming out of this offense.

Stephen Jackson has been maturing into a great player and that needs to continue today. He had 100 plus yards last week and he can do it again today if he steps it up. The hawks are a great team and I think we can beat them if we just do what we have been doing for the last couple of weeks. We can do this, I know it.

Bulger will have to get used to his offense since he ws out for the last two weeks and gave the ball to Jaime Martin who I think did an incredible job. He threw for 100 plus yards every game and he has shown the Rams that he cna fulfill his roll as backup QB. This week should be fun.

Prediction:

Rams 31          Seahawks 27

Feeling Ecstatic

Back To .500!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, boys we did it this week. Unbeleivable. Just about two hours ago, the St. Louis Rams beat the Jackosnville Jaguars, 24-21 in front of a sellout crowd in St. Louis. This is the biggest win for us in the year 2005. Wow am I glad as we are nwo a 4-4 team with a two game winning streak.

I was going to pick up Kevin Curtis this week on my fantasy team but decided not to. I am so stupid. Curtis had his best peroformence of this year in week 8, getting two touch downs. He only had three recpetions and he got 105 yards. That's rediculous. Jaime Martin got the job done in a great way, going 13 for 21 with 200 yards passing. Great job, Jaime.

Now to the highlight of our year. For the first couple weeks of the season our running game stinked. Stephen Jackson was not putting up the numbers possible to win games. Now two weeks ago against the Colts, he showed up getting a touchdown. Last week he was even better. This week, my man Stephen Jackson brought it to the hizouse!!! He got 179 yards on 25 carries. That's beastly, man!! He did not have one touchdown, though.

What a week for the Rams to win it. Next week, we are off so let's rest and get ready to go 5-4!!!!!!!!!!!

Rams and Jags in week 8

Well, week eight is almost here and this week we are at home again against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags have one of the best defenses in the league so our offense is going to have to work it really good or else. I would like to see us win this game and climb back to .500.

Jaime Martin is going to be the scheduled starter for this game. He did amazing last week against the Saints. So did Stephen Jackson. As long as we can keep up the pace this week as we did last week, we can win this.

The Jags are one of the best teams in the league. Let's see if we can win this.

Rams 21      Jaguars 17

YES!!

Jackson_2_Feature.jpg

Well, boys we finally won!! Yesterday the St. Louis Rams beat the New Orleans Saints 28-17 for their third win of the season. The bad news is the Seahawks also won but the good news is the niners lost. We had a great day on offense and here's what it looked like:

First the passing game. Jaime Martin needed to come up big and he did getting 18 completions on the day in 28 attempts and 198 passing yards. Martin is beginning to get better and only had three compltetions less then Peyton Manning did jsut so you know. Hopefully Bulger will be back soon enough but for now Martin is just fine. Our recievers did good to. Marshall was the leader of the pack this week getting five receptions and twenty eight yards. Kevin Curtis did good too getting four recpetions, nintey yards and a touchdown. Holt and Bruce did not play.

Now to the best part, the running game. Stephen Jackson had his breakout performence of the season and when I saw his numbers being profiled on FOX's studs of the day I was so happy. Jackson in 20 attpempts had 97 yards for his best performence of the year and oh boy does that help plus he had two touchdowns.

Now to the defense which made a controversial play. Aaron Brooks threw a pass to Ernie Conwell, the tight end late in the game. Conwell appeared to have caught it as he fell to the ground. Mike Furrey who made a great play last week against the Colts, took the ball right out of Conwell's hands and ran 67 yards for a touchdown. Now, does it say that you can just take the ball out of someone's hands when it appears that they are down? It looked to me that Conwell was down and it was eaither caught or an incomplete pass. Anybody who would like to talk more to me about this can comment on this post or email at: LEFTY120491@aol.com . Thank you.

We will see you later this week for our midweeker and then the prediction for next sunday's game against the Jaguars. Have a good one!

Rams and Bulger are in for it

Well Marc Bulger is not a very happy right now because he is out for two weeks. There goes two weeks of winning for us. Things just keep getting worse. I really think that we will begin to fall flat unless we really start to play better. We have a tough game this week against the Saints and if we do not win then things will not be great.

Jamie Martin will have to come up like never before if he wants to beat the Saints. I think that it is possible but then again you have to look at the Saints defense. They have a good defense and are not afraid to use it especially against an offensive team like the Rams. They played great last week against the Falcons and almost won. Don't underestimate them, they are a good football team. Martin has a good arm and will need to use it tommorow.

As for Stepehen Jackson, he is also doing pretty well lately. Last week he didn't blow for us like he has done in weeks past and he ran for a touchdown. He needs to keep doing that or else we are not going to do good. The defense is not great so we have to rely on offense to win. Prediction:

Rams 24- Saints-17

What'd I say?

Welcome back to the blog. First I would like to mention that I made a plea on another blog to get some people to comment and so far we are doing pretty well. Thank you for that. Now let's get to this week's recap:

We lost to the Colts 45-28 yesterday and I think that it was one of our better offensive performences of the year. Bulger got injured in the second quarter but we still held on and were able to stay together. Here's what we did:

Our offense was the best I've seen it in a while. Bulger was in a consisten rythem in the early going before he got injured. Stephen Jackson ran for a touchdown and was very cosistent on the ground. Also I could not beleive it when Kevin Curtis made that great catch for the TD. I was so happy; It was awesome. We got out to a 17-0 lead because of that and:

Our defense was pretty good. Dominic Rhoades fumbled the first kickoff to the Colts and Mike Furrey who is actually a multi-position player recovered. I was so happy then because now we already had the lead and now ee could stretch it. The D looked good early on and Marc Bulger was able to move the ball well until he threw an interception and got rattled on the run back from Cato June who intercepted it. One of the Colts defensive player smashed into Bulger and he would not return to the game.

So Jaime Martin came in and did a hell of a job coming down the stretch to the end of the second quarter. He did great on that last offensive drive moving the ball down feild, doing what he was supposed to do, not anything fancy. We worked a feild goal out of it and went into the half with a 20-14 lead. Great job in the first half I was very immpressed. We stumbled in the 3rd and 4th quarters. What can I say?? Everybody put their best out there and we did not fail in my mind because we scored nearly thirty points without our starting QB for most of the game and with an interim head coach in Joe Vitt who did very well, by the way. I don't think that there was any chance that we would win but hey, we still did our best right??

That's my analysis for this week, be sure to read the blog as I will have my midweek report coming later this week. I greatly appreciate all the support and feedback that I have been recieving. If anyone would like to visit any of my other blogs you can check out Mack's Sports Blog on AOL Journals. You can just google search it and it will come up as the first one there. Rams week 6 prediction: Its got horseshoe painted all over it

Well its the prediction we have all been waiting for: week 6 when we go to Indy to take on the Colts. Here's what were gonna do and what we should do:

First we have to do the same exact same thing that we did on offense last week or else were total gonners. We made our best offensive performence last against the Seahawks and we have to do the same exact thing this week. Bulger did great and this has to happen this week or else.

Secondly, our defense has to make its best performence of the year on Peyton Manning. I was reading SI yesterday and there was an article in there about USC and their winning streak and how to stop them. Well its kinda the same way with the Colts. Matt Leinart and Manning have something in common when it comes to running away from defenses. We have to run after Manning likes there is no tommorow. Get to him and make him through the ball or better yet throw him down.

Well there is not much we have to do this week other then sit back and enjoy the Rams make a comeback. Trust me it can happen but:

Colts- 35    Rams- 31 is my prediction for this week, good luck but I dont think that they will win.

Rams Modweek Report: Week 6

Okay so this week it will not be so easy. Don't think that just because I am a Rams fan, I am going to to pick them every week because that's not the way it really works. I give my analysis on the Rams and thats that. Case closed. Now moving on to the midweek report.

This week we have alot of issues. We face the best offense in the league in Peyton Manning. Our strong point this week against Manning will have to be the pass rush or the sack. If we can get to him and sack him a good amount of times like we did last week, then things will be better, hopefully. We have to apply pressure and make it known that he can't get the ball out of his hands.

Next as usual, I'm going to talk about the offense. Marc Bulger did good last week, and quite frankly there is nothing I need to say about the offense at this point except that Stephen Jackson is beginning to get better and that is a good sign. Good luck to Mike Martz as this will be tough because now we will have to deal with a new head coach. This should effect our play on Monday night.

We will see you later this week for my prediction for week 6, enjoy the blog!

Feeling Angry

Oye Vaye- 2-3? Not what I expected but its no surprise; Martz is gone

Ugh! I am so pissed. I cannot beleive that the Rams lost this week to the Seattle Seahawks 37-31. It is just something that has been plaguing me and I am afraid now that Rams will start to fade. Don't get me wrong, that's not what I want to happen but I think that it might happen. Okay lets dive right in to the top story:

Martz_Sidelines

Well it looks like Mike Martz is going to be out for a couple of weeks. This is due to health problems. The team and Martz have agreed to make the interim coach Joe Vitt. This makes things much worse for my Rams. Now they will have to rise up to the occasion and make an emotional run. Don't laugh at me but I think the Rams have taken over as America's team. Yeah now with Martz gone, its time for the emotional run that will lift up the country.

Now on to the actual game. Marc Bulger did much better this week throwing 26 completions in 40 attempts. He threw for over 330 yards. That's excellent. Torry Holt came up BIG this week getting 8 receptions for 126 yars, that's excellent. Kevin Curtis did well catching 6 balls for 63 yards. They did well in the passing game this week, gotta give that to them.

Now to the Running game: Stephen Jackson did much better this week. He got 77 yards this week. That's yep you guessed it: excellent in 17 attempts. I'll tell you one thing, their offense was the strongest its been all year, they tied their most points per game this season with 31. Great Job.

Now on to something I havn't talked about this season. Our defense. We did good, Tinoisamoa and Furrey had 7 tackles each we had a couple of sacks but overall, our defense is the worsed its been during the new millenium. I think that the whole team has to do good. The offense made it's best performence of the season this week but we still lost, everybody has to do good. It's obvious and we better show it on Monday night next week. Obviously the biggest matchup of the year for us against the Colts.

Well that's the recap for week 5 and we will see you later this week for the midweek report. And then I'll have my prediction for the Monday nighter against the Colts. Go to the Official Rams Website for more on Mike Martz. My hopes and prayers are with him and his family. Have a good one and GO RAMS!!

Feeling Anxious

Marc, Read my Blog!; Rams will finally blow the offensive powerhouse!

Jackson_Feature.jpg

Well the Rams play the Seahawks this week and going into week 5 I think that this is the week for the Rams. The offense is due to step it up and I think that he will. If you read my midweek report, I said that the offense has got to balance out itself much more then it has this year. Let's dive right in:

I expect Bulger to give the ball to Stephen Jackson much more then he has in earlier weeks. Jackson only had 17 yards rushing last week, you gotta do better then that. Jackson should fare good against the Hawk defense.

Just to sum up the passing game, Kevin Curtis is the next big reciever on this team. I think he will have a good week. Last week he had 9 receptions so lets see if he can do good like that this week. Like I said Bulger has to run the ball more and then throw off the defense by getting the passing game going more. It'll work Marc, read my blog, trust me man!

Here's this week's prediction:

Rams - 27

Seahawks - 20
