A Day late and a Dollar short

D is for Dollar and a perfect reminder that your D photo is due for the A-Z Photo Challenge. It's really Due by tonight, but I'm going to be a little Delayed in posting the D linking list. So, not only is this a reminder, but also to let you know you have some extra time (until Friday night) to post your D photo if you haven't already. Just be sure to leave your link so you'll be included on the list. I'll post sometime on Saturday.
Enjoy the rest of the week. See you this weekend!

Monday Photo Shoot
I had several different thoughts for this shoot -- live sports shoot, our collection of antique games, the kids massive collection of video games and board games, or maybe some volleyball at the beach. Here's what I decided on...
I thought this was most fitting since it's a version of what I've been playing lately -- the game of life. Believe me, my life has been crazier than life for Spongebob in Bikini Bottom!
Things have been hectic this month and about to get worse. I've had to turn off my alerts and won't be around much for the rest of the month. I apologize to those who I've been unable to make it over to visit on the challenges and photo shoots these last few weeks. I have one more challenge I've committed to for next weekend, after that I will probably refrain from playing until I can make it around to visit everyone who plays along, it's just not fair or fun otherwise.
Now I'm off for some more Mother's Day fun. Wishing all the mothers out here a Happy Mother's Day! :-)

Monday Photo Shoot - Unreal!
New Monday Photo Shoot #18: Show us something that isn't real. This can be a special effects shot, or the product of photo editing, or just a picture of something that is in some way fake, whether it's a silk plant in bloom or your pet lizard destroying Tokyo. Just photograph something that isn't really what it appears to be. Extra points if what we see is actually impossible!
Let's go to the circus...
Of course this isn't a real circus, but an unbelievable replica. These are shots taken at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. "Located in the Circus Museum's Tibbals Learning Center, The Howard Bros. Circus model is a replica of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus from 1919 – 1938. Complete with eight main tents, 152 wagons, 1,300 circus performers and workers, more than 800 animals and a 59-car train, the model is built in ¾-inch-to-the-foot scale replica and occupies 3,800 square feet. The “world’s largest miniature circus” was created over a period of more than 50-years by master model builder and philanthropist Howard Tibbals."
(Please excuse the quality of these photos, they were taken through plexiglass).

Round Robin (a little late)
This time around the Round Robin Photo Challenge is "Spring Cleaning."
I reserved my spot to play along and thought the challenge would inspire me to get things done around here. But, life has been hectic, and stressful, and busy. Spring cleaning is the last thing that's been on my mind.
I finally had a little free time today. I considered doing some spring cleaning just for the sake of the challenge. I decided not -- I had dreams of other things...

When we stopped for lunch this afternoon, I did get a photo of someone else cleaning. I hope this counts for the challenge...

(Idea of someone else cleaning stolen from Lisa)
I told Cleaning Man that he'd be staring in my blog for getting me off the hook from doing my own cleaning. I think it made him happy...

The Robins also asked for three challenge ideas...
1. Industrial - Anything that's industrial from a shot of Industrial strength cleaner, something from the local industrial business area, or maybe smoke stacks in the distance.
2. A peek inside - Show us your secrets! Take a photo of the inside of your refrigerator, the inside of your closet or the inside of your bathroom cabinet. The only stipulation, no cleaning first!
3. Blog spot - Photograph your computer area so we can all see where you're hanging out when you're "talking" to us -- your blogging "home."

Friday Photo Fun
Do you have a photo(s) this week that would go along with a Friday theme -- Freaky Friday, Fun Friday, Famous, Funky or just plain Friday Favorite?
No rules here as usual, and if you don't post in time to make it a Friday photo how about a Silly Saturday photo? If you're really pushing it, how about a Serene Sunday or a Sunday Sunset? You get the drift -- you can make almost anything fit. Come on and play along!
This is mine, a photo taken from under the pier. I just love this shot. Here's my Fabulous Friday!...

What do you think?
Be sure to leave a link here if you play along and check the comment section for others who play.
Have a great weekend! :-)

A-Z Photo Challenge
Here's a little linkage for all participants who posted an entry for the letter C, and it's all right here for your linking enjoyment! Please be nice, as I know you all are, and stop by to visit everyone :-)
Please let me know if I left anyone out -- I've been kind of out of it lately!
We're moving on to the letter D -- (Drum-roll please!)...
I posted a photo of a dock yesterday. Thought I'd post another D photo today, just so you remember to post yours and also just because I can ;-P
These are some old photos of our neighborhood "pet" -- meet Beggar the dolphin! Beggar (AKA Mooch) is a wild dolphin, he lives in the bay behind my house. I should mention, the following photo was taken before I knew it was illegal to feed the wild dolphins...
Living in Florida totally rocks!
Now it's your turn. Go find and photograph something that begins with the letter D, post it by May 14th and don't forget to come back here to leave a link!
Come on and play along, it's fun! :-)

A-Z Photo Challenge
This week is the letter D -- D stands for Drastic Delays Daily!
D is for Dock too...

Since I am behind and running late with everything lately, I thought I post a quick D entry so you can all get started on your search for your next photo. I'll be back tomorrow evening with the linking list for the letter C. This means you still have one more day to post your C entry if you haven't already and/or go ahead and start posting your D entries whenever you're ready!
Sorry for the Delay!

The faster I go the behinder I get
Yep, I'm running way behind on the challenges and regular features again this week, too late for catch up now.
New Monday Photo Shoot #17: photograph something furry or fuzzy, whether it's a textured fabric, an animal (real or otherwise), a beard, a piece of fruit, or something else. All I ask is that the photograph concentrate on whatever it is that's furry or fuzzy, and ignore other features (such as eyes and noses) as much as possible.
Here's mine...
Remember ALF? In case you were ever wondering what happened to him, he's been right here, living happily ever after on my husband's drum set.
Oh and don't forget, your letter C photo is due by Wednesday for my A-Z photo challenge! If you are just joining in, it's not too late to post your A and B entries too. Just leave the links on the C entry to be included on the upcoming linking list.
Have a great week! :-)
