Taters

It's time for...

This week's photo is the letter T. It can be something that looks like a T or something that starts with a T. I was running out of time and decided to cheat a bit with my T for "taters." -- I made these for dinner tonight and besides, I love food porn and giving out super simple recipes along with my photos whenever possible :-) 

Here's mine for this week... 

These are called hasselback potatoes. They make a nice presentation for a special occasion, but are great anytime.

How do you make them you ask?

Wash baking potatoes (peel or not, your choice). Put a skewer through the very bottom of the potato (this is so you won't accidentally cut all the way through), then cut thin slices along the potato. Cut a thin slice off the bottom so the potatoes will stand up. Put a little butter, salt and pepper over the top (optional stuff - minced garlic, parsley, parmesean cheese, bread crumbs) bake for about an hour, baste with butter at least once in between.

These are easy, yummy, pretty and just different. Give them a try :-)
