Monday Photo Shoot - Unreal!
New Monday Photo Shoot #18: Show us something that isn't real. This can be a special effects shot, or the product of photo editing, or just a picture of something that is in some way fake, whether it's a silk plant in bloom or your pet lizard destroying Tokyo. Just photograph something that isn't really what it appears to be. Extra points if what we see is actually impossible!
Let's go to the circus...
Of course this isn't a real circus, but an unbelievable replica. These are shots taken at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. "Located in the Circus Museum's Tibbals Learning Center, The Howard Bros. Circus model is a replica of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus from 1919 – 1938. Complete with eight main tents, 152 wagons, 1,300 circus performers and workers, more than 800 animals and a 59-car train, the model is built in ¾-inch-to-the-foot scale replica and occupies 3,800 square feet. The “world’s largest miniature circus” was created over a period of more than 50-years by master model builder and philanthropist Howard Tibbals."
(Please excuse the quality of these photos, they were taken through plexiglass).
Go on over to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art website to see more, and be sure to stop by Outpost Mavarin to play along on this week's Monday Photo Shoot!

How cool is that?! I loved dolls houses and other pretend type toys when I was a kid. I would have give a right arm for a play set like that. LOL

Amazing! In our area, there is an HO railroader who does the Canfield Family Circus (http://www.cfcircus.com/) who comes to all the train shows around here. This has his little traveling show beat by a mile. I've got to get out to Sarasota!
