The Clock was Ahead of Time
For a period of about three to four days in January, every time I looked at the clock on my bathroom wall, the time was exactly one hour ahead. Here's how the process went: I would notice the time being off and reset it to the correct time; then the next time I went into the bathroom, I noticed the time was off again! I began to notice that not only was the time incorrect, but it was one hour ahead--exactly one hour ahead. I thought, "What's with this clock?"
My bathroom is one of the places in the house where I spend a lot of time in prayer and worship. In fact, I spend so much time in there being in the presence of the Lord, that often times I can just walk into that room and immediately hear His voice speaking insight and revelation to me. It makes sense to me that if the Lord was going to grab my attention by disrupting the time on a clock, it would be the clock in that particular room.
It took three to four days for me to realize that this was not a case of a clock malfunctioning. I mean, after all, what clock malfunctions by moving ahead exactly one hour and maintaining that time? The Lord wanted to speak something to me through this clock! When I finally "got it" and asked the Lord what He wanted me to see from my clock, ironically, amid my state of delayed revelatory reception--the Lord said to me, "The time of acceleration is at hand."
Once I recognized the Lord was speaking to me through the advancement of time with the clock, I then reset the clock one last time and it has not wavered since then and is still keeping accurate time. Even in the way God chooses to speak to us, He is creative!
When John the Baptist and Jesus preached, "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand," they weren't saying, "The Kingdom of Heaven is on its way," or "it's getting close." They were saying, "It's here; it's arrived." To say something is "at hand" is to say, "It's available now."
In order to receive what God is showing us, we must be able to recognize the opportunity of availability He is trying to portrait. For this reason, being alert to the times and seasons and their impartations--is highly important to the Body of Christ. The Lord has been speaking to us for awhile now about the acceleration coming to us. He has been preparing us so that we may be knowledgeable of it, and expectant and looking for it. Now He is telling us that it's here, it's upon us--the time of acceleration is now coming in the manifested state. He wants us to recognize its presence so that we may receive of it and walk in all of what He intends for His acceleration to bring to us.
What does it mean for us that the time of acceleration is at hand? It means that the flood gates have opened up and the suddenlies are going to emerge--SUDDENLY! The suddenlies are those promises and breakthroughs we have been waiting for.
Acceleration into Your Household and Sharing What We Have
In my own household, we have recently seen the confirmation of the financial floodgate open up. Within one week's time, in addition to our normal household income, we have received five other checks--in all totaling over one thousand dollars. With the exclusion of one being a gift from a fellow believer, the other four were all from various businesses stating they sent us amounts that were due to us. Praise God! Although this was most certainly a wonderful blessing to my family, I also believe for the Body of Christ that this is only the beginning trickle of the flood that is to follow. The area of finances is but only one branch of our lives the acceleration will flood into.
The Spirit of the Lord said to me, "The mighty hand of God is bringing the acceleration into your households and with it shall come the abundance, the deliverance, and the intimate fellowship that has been the desire of your heart."
Our loving Father certainly wants us to enjoy and rejoice in all that He pours out upon us. It's good and right for us to celebrate Him for all of His blessings. As parents, we take great pleasure in seeing our children enjoy the gifts we bless them with. Our Father also delights in our enjoyment of His blessings to us.
Sometimes it can be easy to become so caught up in the excitement and joy of the blessing, that we forget there still remains a place of responsibility of stewardship. The last half of Luke 12:48 says, "For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more."
As each of us experience the floodgates of acceleration breaking through and being fulfilled in our lives, from the branch of provision as well as being positioned into our destiny in the Lord, let us be in remembrance of our responsibility of stewardship in all that the Father releases to us. Let us always remember our responsibility to properly handle with wisdom all that is given to us. When we do this, our hearts will keep the Giver above the gift.
Acts 4:32 (Amplified Bible translation), "Now the company of believers was of one heart and soul, and not one of them claimed that anything which he possessed was (exclusively) his own, but everything they had was in common and for the use of all."
Everything the Lord bestows upon us has a greater purpose than being just for us, personally. As you can see in Acts 4:32, the early Church understood this well. They did not view what they had as being for them only. They shared all they had possession of and because of their generosity of holding nothing back from one another, there was no lack among them.
1 Corinthians 12:7, "But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all."
Not only does the Lord intend for us to share our material blessings with others, He also instructs us to share every gift of the Holy Spirit as well. In Matthew 10:8, it is recorded that Jesus instructs His disciples in saying, "...Freely you have received, freely give."
The Holy Spirit gives each gift to us according to His will that all may benefit from its distribution. The profit of each gift is found within the giving of it. For example, what profit is there in the gift of healing if one does not give it away to those in need of it?
Whether the Lord has blessed us with financial provision, a specific gifting, a certain anointing, deliverance, healing, and with being solidly positioned into a calling or even so much as a testimony--all have been given that others may benefit as well. Wow! How awesome the Lord is in all of His ways! It is so exciting to know that when the Lord thinks of one, He is thinking of all, and when He blesses one, His desire is to bless all!
With gratitude, may we rejoice, receiving our portion in this season of acceleration with this understanding--the acceleration that is released into the life of one is done so with the intentions that its good fruit will overflow into the lives of many.
God is saying, "The floodgates have opened, the tidal wave has been released." Happy surfing!
