In Canada, we don't celebrate Memorial Day, but we did have a memorable week-end. Our youngest daughter had her High School Graduation -

It was my youngest daughter’s High School graduation this past week-end, and a very busy one, at that.
Friday night consisted of the formal ceremonies for the graduating class, the handing out of the diplomas, congratulatory speeches and recognition of their achievements.
Saturday was a day full of appointments with hair, make-up, dress fittings and last minute instructions for the limousine driver. (we paid for the dress and dance tickets, the rest were paid for by daughter and her part-time job). Ten grads pooled their money for the 10 passenger limo. An expense that I thought was a bit frivolous, but hey, they only do this once -
Saturday night they went off to a swanky hotel in downtown Vancouver for the dinner and dance until midnight. Returning home, they then changed into more casual clothes, and attended a “dry grad” dance and door prize galore festivity near their high school, which began at midnight and went until 6am.
Hubby had to drive the oldest daughter to her job at 5:30am, and had minutes to spare before picking up the tired ladies for their trip home. Sunday was spent napping until late afternoon. Evening was a relaxed time with friends to share digital camera pictures and relive those special moments.
I played around with my scrap booking program, and hope the collage of pictures is somewhat clear. My daughter is wearing the blue dress, in case you were wondering.
All in all, everyone had a wonderful time. The theme of the night was “A Night Frozen In Time” - yes . . . indeed. Memories that will last a lifetime for these young ladies. Memories that will forever be frozen . . . in time -
