A Nice "Score" While Thrifting Today!
Bo works from 1 pm to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday. So, some days before work he wants to do some ‘thrift storing’…that is one of his favorite things to do. I don’t mind going to a few of them but some have got the scummiest, scariest cliental you would could ever imagine. So if he wants to go to those I sit in the car with the doors locked and listen to my romance audiobooks. So, today he told me that he wanted to leave a little early and run to one that is close to work. We got there and I didn’t want to go in today. Not because I don’t like this one but I had to go and find a bathroom to pee! LOL After going to the Taco Bell
down the road I came back. He soon joined me about 10 minutes later beaming from ear to ear. He found a TiVO
for only $10! He was so excited. (Ok, I am too a bit!) Bo is one of these kinds of guys that can fix almost anything so he isn’t worried if he has to do some work on it. Today was a good day for thrifting and he made a good ‘score’ as he calls it.
After dropping Bo at work I came home and took a nap. I didn’t get much sleep last night due to the fact my left hand is really swollen and hurts something fierce.
Around 5 I left to go pick Willy up from football
practice. After getting him I went to Walgreen’s and dropped off my pain medicine prescription. I went to the drive thru and told the girl that I did NOT want the generic form of it. She was puzzled by this. She asks me, “Why? The brand name is a $40 co-pay where the generic is only $20”. Well, first of all, what business is it of hers? I told her in no uncertain terms that some meds I don’t mind getting in generic put the pain medicine
I do. The generic is new to the Market and I don’t trust it helping with my pain and also with my stupid addiction to the stuff. I didn’t tell her that but I did tell her that was my decision and I don’t mind paying the extra money to get the brand name. I drove away steaming! As much money as I pay at that stupid pharmacy every month what the heck does it matter what I want or not!
Well, I guess that’s all the news I have for today. Dinner is about ready. I am making a ham
and my cheesy potatoes and a nice tossed salad. Yum! Have a nice evening everyone.

That's great about the TiVo. Has the hubby got it working? And don't get me started on people who should just mind their own business about things. You have a right to get whatever medicine YOU want without having to be interogated.

That is a great SCORE at the thrift shop. I go sometimes looking for books and few hidden treasures. The other day I found an OLD camera and I HAD to have it. :-) Everyone was asking me if I plan to e-bay it ... NO WAY! I love the camera and now I'm thinking I want to collect OLD cameras! Silly maybe but, fun. :-)
Dinner sounds wonderful ... I wonder what I should make tonight? Now you have me thinking.
Have a great day!

A Tivo for ten bucks sounds like a bargain to me! That's a score for sure! Sounds like the pharmacy tech/cashier was just trying to be helpful, it really is amazing the difference between brand and generic prices, sometimes you don't even realize the savings, but annoying when you are in pain and want what you want, I understand that too. Dinner sounds good, I'll be over at 6 ;-) *wink* *wink*
