Wednesday with Linny
I got up at 3:30 am. For some reason I couldn’t sleep. I decide to check out a few journals and watch some TV. But, Bo had set the TiVo up to record “CHIPS” at that time. So, I got to watch that. I had forgotten how tight ‘Pancho’ wore his cop shirt!
The kids have all been sick the past couple of weeks. Sore throats, coughs, runny noses…you know…the typical cold of the season.
I sure hope that I don’t get it. I always seem to get things worse than anyone. The bad part about it is, Willy missed 2 days of football practice due to his sore throat. Because of that at his game tomorrow the coach probably won’t let him play the whole game. They are really tough on the kids if they miss practices…even if they are sick. He will get to play just not every time they are on defense. Oh well, if he’s sick, he’s sick and I won’t make him go to practice and be miserable.
Last week Willy discovered that his wallet was stolen out of his pocket at school. He had $10, his new $30 ASB card in it and a check for $30 for a new football sweatshirt. I called and reported it to the school security guard. He said that not much can be done but if it showed up in the lost and found they would let us know. Gee that helps!
Around 5 am I decide I am hungry and having a craving for a PB & J sandwich. I go to the fridge and find that there is no jam. So, I open the freezer to get another jar of my famous homemade strawberry freezer jam out. I then decide to take some steaks out of the freezer for dinner tonight also. As I am taking them out a 5 pound pot roast
falls out and lands on my big toe. Now, let me tell you…a 5 pound roast that is frozen and falls about 4 feet onto your toe hurts like H-E double hockey sticks! I start jumping around in major pain, trying not to yell too loudly and wake the whole family up! I finally settle down and get the steaks out and the roast back in the freezer, oh, and the jam out too! I then make the sandwich. Mmm. I haven’t had a PB & J in a while and it sure tasted good. Oh, and my toe is now feeling better but I am sure I will have a bruised toe in a day or 2!
Bo’s interview went very well yesterday. I called and asked Brady (our good buddy that was on the interviewing team) how Bo did. He said that Bo did great and he’s sure that he will get the position. But, we aren’t going to count on it until we actually hear it on Friday. One of the questions they asked him was, “Name 3 things you like about your self and 3 things you dislike about yourself” …He said he hates that question and had to think a minute about it. His boss (who was also on the interviewing committee) pops up and says, “One thing that you like Bo is Shrimp Chips”
They all laughed at that.
Have any of you seen that new commercial for Burger King? Where they are talking about the new deluxe breakfast croissant? A man is startled awake by the Burger King man sitting next to him in bed shoving a breakfast croissant in his face? I tell you what…if I was to be woken by that man I would scream! He is very scary looking!!
Not much to do around here today. I am sure I will be exhausted later and will need to take a nap.
I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

I couldn't help but laugh at your entry! I know it's not funny to be sick, or to stub your toe, or any of that.....it's just the way you wrote it. I'm still snickering! Sounds a whole lot like my lifestyle girl! You take care, and hope you feel better soon!
Hugs,
Linda
