Fettuccine Alfredo

Fettuccine Alfredo
From the Kitchen of Linda Snyder
18 ounces fettuccine noodles
3 cups half and half (you can use heavy cream...aka whip cream...also)
2 cubes butter
2 cups grated Parmesan Cheese
Couple of Pinches of Salt and Pepper
Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally. Drain.
Stir the cream and the butter in a heavy large skillet to blend. Cook over medium heat just until the butter melts, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat.
Add the pasta and stir. Add the Parmesan Cheese to the cream sauce and Pasta. Add the salt and pepper. Stir the Pasta mixture over low heat until the sauce thickens slightly. You can also add many things to this. Such as chicken, shrimp, peas, broccoli etc. Or serve them along side. Your imagination is endless with this dish.
This is one of my families favorite dishes and it is very quick and simple to make. BUT, full of calories LOL
