Chapter 83

Sara and Grissom were laying in bed together and Grissom was stroking her hair, she laid her head on his chest and said "I love you Grissom" He kissed her on the top of her head and said "I love you too sweetheart" She smiled and reached for his hand and kissed it.She relaxed and fell back alsleep for a while.It was 9:00 a.m. again when she woke up.She got up and peed and brushed her teeth.Emmi was awake when she looked in on her so she kissed her and brought her in the kitchen with her."What do you want to eat honey?" Sara asked her , Emmi's sweet little face smiled at her mom and she said "pancakes" Sara smiled and said "Sounds good" Sara made them both pancakes and got out the butter and syrup.Emmi was hungry and ate all of her breakfast.Sara smiled at her and said "Aunt Catherine is going to watch you today" Emmi clapped her little hands and said "Yea"

Grissom woke up then and came down to the kitchen, Sara made him some fresh pancakes and handed him a cup of coffee"Thanks honey" he said taking a sip."Why do'nt you get ready to go soon" he told her and she nodded and walked upstairs , Emmi stayed downstairs in the kitchen with Grissom.He made her a fruit cup and she ate every bite.Sara showered and got dressed and came downstairs smelling like gardenias.Grissom kissed her and said "You look beautiful honey" Sara thanked him and said "You ready to leave?"He nodded and they scooped up Emmi who was clutching her favorite teddy bear.

They locked up the place and first dropped Emmi off at Catherine's.Emmi ran into Catherine's arms and Catherine kissed her and said "How's my favorite niece?" Sara hugged Catherine and said "Thanks for watching her Cat"Catherine tucked back a strand of her shining red hair and said "It's no problem" Sara then got into the car with Grissom and they left to go shopping.It was turning out to be a good day so far.

Chapter 82

Sara was playing on the floor with Emmi .She was getting bigger now and not a baby anymore.Sara kept throwing a red ball up in the air and Emmi squealed with laughter each time.Grissom came home from work and kissed both of them calling them both "my favorite girls" Sara smiled as he kissed her."How was your day honey" he asked "Good' Sara smiled and tucked back a strand of her shining dark hair.Grissom picked up Emmi and flung her up in the air and caught her making her laugh .Sara got up and started dinner for them."Can I help sweetheart ?" he asked , Sara turned around and said "You could set the table "and he nodded and set 2 places for them.Emmi was going to sit on her own chair and table.

They ate dinner and chatted about thier day.Sara was feeling tired and said after dinner she wanted to take a bath.Grissom offered to wash her hair and she agreed.She loved when he washed her hair.Grissom did up the dishes after dinner and put Emmi down for the night.Sara went upstairs, she emptied her bladder and then ran a bath for herself.Grissom came upstairs and found her in the tub.He wet her hair and gently massaged some apple shampoo into her wet hair working up a lather.Sara sighed happily and felt herself relax.After her bath she and Grissom went to bed .She was almost alsleep but she said "Grissom" Yeah honey?" he asked "I love you" Sara said and she felt his lips brush against her forehead as he said "I love you too sweetheart " and he drifted off to sleep holding her hand.

Chapter 81

Grissom was shaving his goatee off in the bathroom he and Sara shared when Sara poked her head in and looked a little embarrased, Grissom spotted her and smiled "What's up honey?" Sara's pretty face turned a little red and she said softly "Would it be ok if I come in here for a few minutes ? ,I really need to go to the bathroom " Grissom turned to her and said "No problem honey, " He rinsed his face and let her come in and she said "Thank you so much Grissom " and hurried over to the toilet and sat down. He made sure there was enough toilet paper for her before he closed the door behind her giving her privacy. While Sara was in the bathroom Grissom called Catherine and told her to call Nick and Warrick and relay the message to them about a surprise birthday party for Sara.Catherine was excited about Sara's party and she said for sure she would call Nick and Warrick.Grissom had something planned for Sara too in the afternoon, He called up the restaurant and made reservations for 1:30 p.m. for Sara and him.The hostess said "One thirty is fine Mr Grissom, I'll see you then" Grissom was pleased and he quickly called Brass to invite him too, " I'll be there Grissom, Brass said "Sara is like a daughter to me" Grissom was touched by hearing that and said "Sara would be pleased to have you there " Grissom got alot done and then he heard the toilet flush and the sink water run for a few minutes and Sara emerged and sat down by him on the bed "Feel better ? " he asked and kissed her "Yeah much" she said and he took her hand in his and squeezed it and said "Honey if ever you need to come in there and use the bathroom when I'm in there shaving just tell me ok, I'll come out and let you come in, do'nt be embarrased sweetheart" Sara smiled at him and kissed his hand and said "I love you so much Grissom" Grissom put his arm around her and kissed the top of her head and said " Awww Sara, I love you too" and then he said "You still have'nt told me what you want to do today for your birthday, but I am taking you out later" Sara smiled up at him and her pretty brown eyes sparkled , Grissom reached out his hand and carresed her cheek and said "You're so gorgeous" Sara smiled shyly and leaned against him, she loved being with him and he loved being with her just as much.She was his true love.

Emmi was over at Catherine's house for afew hours until Sara's birthday dinner that night.Grissom was glad to have some alone time with Sara , he went back to the bathroom to finish shaving and then showered and got dressed, when he got out of the shower Grissom heard Sara on the phone, he smiled and let her chat.He made thier bed up and went downstairs to have some coffee.It was a beautiful sunny day for Sara's birthday and he wanted everything to go perfectly for her.

Grissom made Sara and him a veggie omlette and when Sara came downstairs he had breakfast all ready for her "Awww Grissom, thanks so much" Sara said in a grateful voice, Grissom said "Happy birthday honey" Sara took a seat and he put some fresh toast on her plate too."Honey can I ask you something?" he said "Sure Sara said and took a bite of toast "You ever think of having a sibling for Emmi?" Sara swallowed the bite of toast and it stuck painfully in her throat, she had dreaded this question but felt she needed to address it "Grissom I love Emmi more then anything but I was so sick during my pregnancy with her, I used to lay down in bed feeling nauseated every night praying for you to get home, there was one time I threw up so much I was dehydrated and Catherine had to feed me water in a little tube" Grissom's handsome face fell hearing that , he had no idea how sick Sara had been during her pregnancy but she had never wanted him to know "I'm sorry Grissom, I do'nt think I would want to be so sick again like that", she started to cry and Grissom went to her and took her in his arms and said "Awww sweetheart I wish I had known, I hate that you were so sick, your health is the most important thing to me, It's alright honey, Emmi will be our only baby then" He stroked her hair and said "Do'nt cry on your birthday Sara, I'm sorry I mentioned about another baby" Sara was relieved that he knew and she was glad he understood , she honestly did'nt think she could survive another 9 months of being nauseaus every day , They had Emmi and she was thier miracle baby and would always be thier only baby.

Sara woke up to Grissom kissing her forehead and stroking her hair "Happy Birthday sweetheart" he whispered , Sara gave him a tired smile and said "Awww thanks Grissom" He reached for her hand and held it in his "Anything you want to do today honey name it"Sara gave him the gap toothed smile he loved so much and said "Let me think a while" She fell back on the pillow and sighed.Grissom kissed her hand and lay looking at her "You're so beautiful Sara" he said in a tender voice , Sara laid her head on his chest and he kissed the top of her head and stroked her soft brown hair.She felt like the luckiest woman in the world to have Grissom, he loved her unconditionally and would do anything for her.She fell alsleep on him because whenever he stroked her hair it relaxed her.He let her sleep and snuck downstairs to order her a birthday cake and some flowers too.Little Emmi was awake when he looked in on her, she was becoming a toddler now and not so much of a baby.Grissom picked her up and she clapped her little hands and tickled her.Her hair was growing and her little ringlets made her look more adorable then ever, long lashes framed her sparkling brown eyes and her teeth were growing in now too.Grissom kissed her and said "Today is mommy's birthday honey" Emmi smiled at him and he said "Let's make you some breakfast"

He took Emmi downstairs and whipped up scrambled eggs for her and toast, she ate some of the eggs and a little toast but when he gave her applesauce she ate every bit.After breakfast Grissom wrapped up the silver necklace he had bought Sara and Emmi played with some of the ribbon, Grissom slowly walked back upstairs holding Emmi in one arm and Sara's gift in another.Sara smiled when she heard them and little Emmi came over and said "Happy Birthday mommy" Sara kissed Emmi and said "Thank you my darling girl" Grissom handed Sara the pretty wrapped box and said "Hope you like it honey" Sara was so touched by his thoughtfulness and she slowly opened the box and inside was a beautiful little silver peace sign, "Awww I love it Grissom" She hugged him and he gently fastened the necklace around her neck.

Nick called up just then to wish Sara Happy Birthday and Sara chatted excitedly to him, so far her birthday was turning out to be perfect, Catherine called up after Nick and told Sara she had a surprise for her and to ready at 4:00 p.m., Sara was excited and could hardly contain herself.Grissom loved seeing Sara so excited and showered with love, she was his love, his angel and he always wanted her to be happy.

Chapter 79

Sara was reading in bed , Grissom had washed her hair for her and it had relaxed her so much.He was downstairs when Sara heard the phone ring, she leaned over to answer it but Grissom must have already gotten it.He came upstairs on the phone , Sara glanced at him when he said "Wow you're kidding ?" Sara gave him a look and he said "Ok hold on Laura, you can tell her" Sara took the phone and said "Hi mom" "Hi baby, Sara thought her mom sounded really happy and wondered what was going on "Sara , you wo'nt believe this , Laura said , "But that man that was in the auto crash was'nt your brother" "What?" Sara exclaimed "The man that died had stolen your brother's ID card honey" Laura said "Randy is very much alive" Sara felt tears of joy in her eyes and said "Awww mom that is wonderful news " Laura agreed and they hung up after exchanging "I love you's" Sara was so happy and Grissom hugged her close , he was so happy for Sara.

"Honey, Grissom said "Emmi and I want to take you out to eat for Mother's Day tommorow" Sara was touched and said "Awww that is so nice" Grissom glanced at his watch and said "Speaking of Emmi, I need to go pick her up, want to come sweetheart? " Sara nodded and he said "Ok come on honey" and they both left in her car to pick Emmi up at Catherine's.

Catherine hugged them both when they came over and said "Emmi was no trouble at all, she's such a good baby" Sara smiled at that and said "Thank you for taking care of her Catherine" Catherine tucked a strand of her shining red hair back and said "It's no problem" Grissom took Emmi in his arms and said " How's my precious girl?" Emmi squealed with delight seeing her dad and he tickled her little belly making her laugh.She was a beautiful baby and a blessing in all of thier lives.To Be Continued ..............................

Sara rolled over in bed and began to cry softly.She had fallen alsleep after hearing the terrible news about her brother and now she was awake with the news fresh in her mind.Grissom woke up too hearing her cry and he pulled her into his arms and said "Awww honey and said "Anything I can do for you sweetheart ?" Sara sniffled on his shoulder and said "No" softly , He kissed her on the top of her head and just held her, she rested her head on his chest and in no time she fell alsleep again in a tearful slumber. He tucked her in and sat beside her holding her hand in his.He felt helpless seeing the woman he loved so upset.Sara was so vulnerable and he had a fierce need to protect her.He went downstairs to eat some soup and make a phone call and when he came back , he sat by Sara again and she blinked and turned around to face him.

"There's my sweet angel" he said in a tender voice.Sara gave him a tiny smile and he reached out and brushed her hair back from her face.Sara was grateful for his affection towards her and he could'nt take his eyes off her "You're so pretty Sara, he said softly, Sara felt fresh tears falling down her face and he took a kleenex and gently blotted them away.He climbed in bed with her and lay facing her."Are you hungry sweetheart?" he asked and she shook her head "Not really, she sighed "I am a little thirsty though, he got up and went to the kitchen, poured her some ice water and brought it up to her.Sara smiled at him and whispered "Thank you and gulped it down.He took the empty glass and set it on her nightstand, " Anytime" he said and lay back down with her.Sara closed her eyes and said "I wish my brother dying was a bad dream" Grissom gave her a sympathetic look and said "I know sweetheart , she looked away and sighed and Grissom kissed her hand and said "Come on honey, I'll draw you a bath"

She got up and he ran the bathwater warm for her and poured in her favorite gardenia bubblebath in the water.The tub filled up quickly with warm bubbles and Sara got in and sighed happily as the bubbles soaked up her body, Grissom put the toilet lid down and sat down talking to her as she lay in the tub.Sara began to feel a little better and he poured some Herbal Essences shampoo in her wet hair and rubbed it in working up a lather.Sara closedher eyes and felt relaxed for the first time all day.She loved Grissom so much, he was the only person who kept her going much of the time , To Be Continued .........................................

Sara was home by herself waiting for Grissom and Emmi to return.She missed both thier presence and was about to make herself a cup of tea when the phone rang.Sara answered and it was her mom and she sounded like she was crying."Mom? " Sara asked "What's wrong?" Mrs Sidle continued to cry and said in a shaking voice "Your brother died last night" "What???" Sara gasped and covered her mouth with her hand "How ?" Sara asked starting to cry , Laura Sidle said that Sara's brother had been coming home from work and a drunk driver had ran a red light and crashed into his sports car killing him instantly.Sara legs began to shake from shock and she collasped into a chair and her mom told her she loved her and would call back later "I love you too mom, I ca'nt believe this happened " Sara went upstairs and got into her bed and cried.

Grissom came home then and he was alone.Catherine had offered to take Emmi for a few hours because Grissom wanted some alone time with Sara."Honey" he called out throwing his keys on the kitchen table, he heard silence and walked upstairs concerned .He looked in the bathroom and the door was open, she was'nt in there and he thought he heard muffled sobbing and found Sara in bed hugging her pillow and crying.He knelt beside her and said "Honey what's wrong?" Sara tried to talk but just ending up sobbing, he reached over and pulled her into his arms and her head rested on his chest, he stroked her hair and just sat holding her.Sara swallowed and said "My brother Randy died last night" Grissom's handsome face looked stunned and he said "Oh God Sara how ?" Sara choked on a sob and said "He was in a car accident , a drunk driver hit him" She buried her face in his chest and cried , deep racking sobs came out of her, there was no sound in the world Grissom found more heartbreaking then the sound of Sara crying, Grissom kissed her cheek and held her stroking her soft hair and comforting her the best he could.She ended up falling alsleep from exhaustion and he carried her to thier bed and tucked her in and lay beside her watching her sleep.

Grissom hated that Sara's only sibling had died and at such a young age, Randy had been 35, and he and Sara had shared a special bond, they had both grown up in an abusive home and they had always looked out for each other as kids.Grissom glanced at Sara and reached for her hand and fell alsleep holding her hand .He was going to do everything he could to be there for Sara during this hard time in her life.He only wished he could bring Randy back and he wished with all his heart he could do that for Sara, To Be Continued ...........................

Sara was at home getting ready to meet Catherine for lunch.She slipped into her grey sweater and her favorite blue jeans.She added a few touches of mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss and fluffed her hair.Grissom caught a glimpse of Sara as she was getting ready.He stole a kiss from her and said "You look nice honey" Sara smiled at him and said "Thanks" She checked on Emmi who was sleeping and hugged Grissom as she headed out "I'll see you later" she said.Grissom nodded and inhaled her sweet scent and said "Have fun honey" Sara smiled at her and waved as she walked down the driveway to her Prius.

She got in and headed out .Traffic was light and she got to the place in no time.Catherine was waiting for her at a table and waved her over.Sara smiled as she sat down.Catherine kissed her cheek and said " Glad you came" Sara took a sip of her water and said "Awww Cath , you know I love hanging out with you away from work.Catherine agreed and said how much of a great friend Sara was to her always.Sara felt pleased hearing that, she cared about others and always had.Sara showed Catherine some recent pictures of Emmi and Catherine remarked how beautiful she was and how big she was getting.The precious little baby was growing more every day.The waitress came over and Sara and Catherine ordered iced teas and salads for lunch and just sat talking and catching up.They were both happy to be away from the stress of work and have a day where they could both relax and have fun.

After lunch they parted ways and Sara went by the grocery store and bought some fresh fruit for dessert .She also bought some laundry detergent, diapers for Emmi, a few magazines to read for fun and some hiball pens to write with.She drove home with the groceries and started putting everything away.Grissom was gone with Emmi and Sara wondered where they both had gone.The house had an eerie stillness without them both and Sara missed them, To be continued ........................

Sara was in the kitchen whipping up omelettes for her and Grissom.She had been sick a few days ago but she was feeling much better.She chopped up some mushrooms and avocado and sliced some vine tomatoes and shredded some cheese .She poured the egg into the hot pan and flipped it a few times and then added the avocado, tomato, mushrooms and cheese.Grissom smelled her cooking and smiled .He got dressed and came downstairs as Sara was serving them breakfast.Emmi was still sleeping and Sara was going to wake her soon so she could eat too." Good morning honey" Grissom said and gave Sara a kiss.Sara smiled at him and said "Hi Grissom, sit down, breakfast is almost ready" He poured them both some iced tea and took a seat by Sara.Sara put thier plates down and he breathed in the scent and said "Smells delicious" Sara was pleased hearing that and he took a bite of the omlette and closed his eyes saying " Mmmmm so good" Sara giggled at him and they both ate and enjoyed each other's company.

After they finished breakfast Grissom did up the dishes and Sara went and got Emmi up, changed her diaper and -fed her.Emmi was happy as always seeing her mom and Sara just loved her.Emmi was a beautiful baby, and so sweet -natured.Sara and Grissom could'nt imagine thier lives without her.Emmi reached out and touched Sara 's face with her hands.Sara kissed her and said "Hi my darling girl" Emmi was fascinated by her mom and gently tugged Sara's shining dark hair.Sara smiled at her and played with her for a bit.Grissom took her then and Sara went to take a shower.She washed her hair and used the Jasmine body wash Nick had given her as a Christmas present.Feeling clean and fresh she slipped on a red dress and redid her make -up. Grissom came upstairs and caught a glance of her "Wow Sara, you are stunning" he said and whistled .Sara laughed feeling embarrased but he told her always she was his beautiful angel and she loved him for that.He kissed her and told her how much he loved her and she smiled and said "I love you too Grissom with all my heart" He helped her fasten a necklace on that he had bought her.

Sara was going to meet Catherine later for lunch and Grissom was happy that they both got along so good.At first when Sara had begun and was a new CSI , Catherine had been rude to her but in time Catherine had grown to love Sara and respect her very much.Sara also loved Catherine and appreciated all her tips on being a new mom, although Catherine thought Sara was a great mom and told her often. Sara was'nt feeling well and was laying down in bed.Catherine was watching Emmi that day and Grissom was supposed to pick her up on his way home from work.She thought from her symptoms she had the flu.She was feverish and chilling and her stomach felt a little queasy.She sat up feeling saliva fill her mouth and ran to the bathroom where she got sick.Sara flushed the toilet and took in deep breaths.She hated being sick and she went back to bed and fell alsleep until Grissom came home a few hours later.He put Emmi in her playpen and went to find Sara.He poked his head in the bedroom and saw her sleeping form in thier bed.He leaned down and gave her a kiss on the cheek.Sara blinked at him and said "Grissom , I'm sick" "Awww honey, he said and reached for her hand.Sara leaned against him and he felt her forehead, "Let me take your temperature sweetheart" he said and after placing a thermometer under her tongue, 101 was the reading."Awww honey you have a fever" he said and placed a cold washcloth on her forehead.She closed her eyes and he just sat by her asking her if she needed anything."No" Sara said softly "But just stay with me" He reached out and touched her face and said "My poor baby, I love you " he said ."Love you too" she whispered and he stroked her soft hair until she fell alsleep.

Sara woke up later and Grissom made her a little chicken noodle soup.She had a few bites and had some sips of water.He kissed her and said "How do you feel ?" Sara thought for a minute and said " Like I have the flu" " Awww I'll take care of you sweetheart" he said in a gentle tone.Sara gave him a weak smile and said "I know you will" He crawled into bed with her and lay holding her in her arms.He had fed Emmi her dinner and put her down for the night so he could tend to Sara.Sara was chilling and he felt her body shaking.He tried his best to hold her and keep her warm.She fell back to sleep and he did too until she woke up sick again later.He heard her in the bathroom throwing up her dinner.When he got up to check on her she was leaning against the wall with her eyes closed fighting a wave of dizziness."Awww honey " he said and knelt down by her. He got her some water to rinse her mouth out with and took her in his arms and hugged her , she leaned on him and he stroked her hair and helped her back to bed.Sara thanked him when he tucked her in and he said "I'm sorry you are'nt feeling well sweetheart" She looked at him and said "You make me feel better" He smiled at that and hoped that she knew there was nothing he would'nt do for her.She was the love of his life, his angel, his soulmate.

When Sara woke up later she felt better and Grissom had fallen alsleep holding her hand.She smiled and gently tried to unlease her hand without waking him.She needed to pee and she wanted to check on Emmi so she got up, went to the bathroom and then looked in on Emmi who was all stretched out like a little angel in her crib.Sara reached out and smoothed her soft brown curls and said "Goodnight pretty one" Sara read for a while and then went back to bed glad she felt well again. The next day she and Catherine were both going out for a girls day out and she did'nt want to be sick for that.To Be Continued ...........................................
