what are you using to manage your time?

whether you are using a daily paper planner or a PDA (personal digital assistant) find a "spot" for your to-do chores and stick to it.

give every task a "home" pick a time and day for each task

what do you do if you aren't able to get to that specific chore?

are you rescheduling the chore you didn't get to "today" ?
don't lose it reschedule it

use post it notes to be able to re schedule that task easily on another day

what are you doing to set boundaries?

block off time everyday to regroup yourself, even if that means closing yourself in an office, hang a "do not disturb" sign for 1 hour and make that hour yours

    Wansulu,
maybe earplugs are in order!! I would have to say this is more an HR issue, maybe you could take it to them and if this is intereferring with your concentration they may put some office restrictions in such as has having an "office Ettique" workshop! I am available if necessary!!  :-)
    Good Luck!

    Greetings,
Our office was recently centralized and I got stuck in a stupid cube!  The woman next to me talks loud to anyone and everyone who passes by and of course that's a lot because the other stupid woman (caffiene addict) put the coffee pot there.  Caffiene addict is a "barrista wannabe".  She runs around and announces "flavor of the day".  Obnoxious.  The woman on the other side of me talks on the phone to her kids in baby talk and slams drawers so hard my memos fall off the wall.
How can I get anything done.  We work in a job that requires technical thinking and precise writing skills.  I could do better in the middle of the interstate sometimes.  Is this an HR issue?  I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but I want a quiet work place.
