Spring! Its a time for change. I change my wardrobe, re-sign the lease to my apartment, and now have picked up my happy little blog and moved it. Sad I know. Don't fret, you can still laugh, cry, and run your credit cards dry to Ask Fashion Kitty; by reading the archives here on AOL Journals and by reading my new thoughts on the new Ask Fashion Kitty

Thanks for reading and see you in my new home! Oh and I do accept house warming gifts. So don't come empty handed ( I will take comments the new blog if you are low on cash...LOL)

My love hate relationship with Juicy Couture is becoming more and more straining on my emotions. Yes I am sick to death of people abusing their comfy terry sweat outfits, and yes I think they have lost their minds with the silly dog carriers. Not to mention, the charms bracelet, the shoes, and other trinkets!

Now they totally threw me off with this $2,400.00 Jeweled Dress. I say leave the couture to the real designers! Ouch I know, I think I just officially started one Juicy fashion war! Meow.....

Do you recall the sadness I felt when I could not find a laptop bag? Well I found one. I am drawn to strange and over sized bags; when I found this giant vintage bag today I had to have it. I was thinking of how chic I would look in jeans and a tight white tee lugging around this giant bag. My fantasy was interrupted by the thought of how far I would have shove my arm in the bag to find a piece of gum. Then BAM! (can't believe I went all Emeril on you....sorry) I thought "Hello...my laptop" Its perfect.

Bag from Eclectic Threads in Arlington, VA $35

The bag itself couldn't be better. It reminds me of high school, that is when I first started some minor traveling and I had to borrow my parents luggage. Because they were not travelers, they only had this ridiculous red luggagefrom the 60's/ 70's (which was in Austin Powers by the way). I was the only person in the airport who's bag didn't come equipped with a pair of handy wheels. Oh well, I insanely fashionable without even knowing it.

Tori Spelling. What thoughts come into your precious little heads when you hear that name? Ummm Donna Martin, so 1990's, Aaron Spelling's rotten little daughter, pathetic, not the prettiest girl in the world...do I need to go on? I didn't think so.

We all (well at least I did) let out a little chuckle when we heard that everyone's favorite girl would have her own little show. I knew I couldn't laugh too hard since it is on VH1; which has really increased its popularity by basing the channel on mocking has-beens (Hulk Hogan, Flavor Flav, everyone on the Surreal Life)

Well, I watched and HATED it! Then just to kick me while I was down; I take a peek into my inStyle magazine and see a whole page devoted to Tori and her favorite things.

                                         Tori's Favorite things include....

I had a terrible nightmare last night.....

I went to see the doctor and he told me that I had developed a denim allergy and I could not wear denim EVER again. I thought about my 70 plus pairs of jeans, the joy my jeans bring to me and to others, I thought about the comfort- the style; how I would never have that joy again.

I woke up! Thank goodness. The point of my story is that I a passionate about denim. What other article clothing can make you look and feel sexy AND comfortable. Everyone wears jeans, so why not make a statement with them. However, the statement a lot of people are making is "I don't care about myself and my appearance anymore" or " I have not purchased jeans in 20 years, because this pair is just fine" or perhaps they say "MOM JEANS!!!"

Mom Jeans...are the worst jeans a person can own. From the 9 inch zipper, to the light wash, the tapered legs, and the horrible pocket placement- they scream MOM JEANS! These jeans are highly unattractive and should be removed from your closet. Moms of the world, when you pry yourself away from Mom Jeans and put on some sexy jeans...your husband/ boyfriend won't be able to keep his hand off of you.

If you are an owner of Mom Jeans write me an email (lmessiah52@aim.com) with a description of your body type and I can track down some non-mom jeans for you. Seriously, it may change your life.

The main mission on my New York trip last weekend was to hit Patricia Field! My shopping radar must have been off, because I didn't realize the weekend of my visit was the weekend on Patricia Fields move from 8th Street (near NYU campus) to Soho's West Broadway.

I was totally bummed. However I did get to soak up a little of everyone's favorite stylist, in this article from Fashion Wire Daily. Patricia shares her wisdom on being such a successful business woman in the hard to crack fashion industry.

Brooches make a comeback in a whimsical way…

Remember when only a few years back; when brooches adorned every article of clothing they could sink their pointy pin into? Back in the times when people were wearing tweed like it was some newly invented fabric? It wasn’t that long ago- I certainly remember it. That time left a sour taste in my mouth. I declared myself done with brooches, put all of mine away (far away) and called it a day. Until now...

Every time I visit my favorite vintage store (Eclectic Threads in Arlington, VA) I see some very funky little pins/ brooches; mostly funky looking animals (skunks, owls, cats, elephants) I ignore them because I have no use for them. How wrong was I- very!

A trip to a Miss Sixty boutique changed my mind, when I saw an extremely over priced black tee shirt with enamel and jewel crusted animal looking pin on the right shoulder. There was use for those creepy little brooches. I mapped out a plan to walk into my vintage store and pick up loads of pins…somehow I was distracted and put it out my mind. Until my visit to New York this past weekend, pins are in baby! They were popping up left and right in little boutiques in Soho.

If you want to add a little bonus item to your plain tops, pick up some pins at your local vintage shop, or raid grandma’s accessories (sheis bound to have something) Not sure how long this trend will stick around, but seems like a good enough idea for now

There is finally some proof out there that spring is actually here; 3 consecutive days of warm weather is proof enough for me. With that, comes new trends- which is exciting and scary. The scary part is the attack of the over-trender (someone who wears all the latest trends at once).

Everyone's favorite person, Tim Gunn from Project Runway us straight on spring trends on Washingtonpost.com. I pulled some of my favorite points, and I suggest you follow Tim's advice. Cowboy boots and leggings will be the thing we look back on say "why the hell did we wear that!" So please read on and dress yourself with caution.

Fairfax, Va.:

Is there a way to wear cowboy boots this spring or are they completely out of fashion?

Tim Gunn: The cowboy boot is a classic item, regardless of gender. Its fashion success is all about how it's worn; with a Juicy gauze mini and leggings, the look will be dated by definition. However, paired with jeans and a great blouse and a corduroy jacket, cowboy boots look wonderful. Think about how you can have a western flair without looking like Brokeback got you good.

New York, N.Y.:

Are leggings really back? Or rather, what do YOU think of them?

Tim Gunn: They are back, but they're tricky. It's important that they enhance your look rather than dominate it. Keep your look sophisticated -- think Martin Margiella, not Fame -- and you'll be safe. Personally, I think leggings are dreadful...

It is clear to me, that people have not/ will not let this hoodie and sweatpants thing go. And because I was so harsh on the topic of “comfortable” clothes issue. I have decided to use my Kitty powers for good, and teach the world how to dress comfortably. Not only how, but where; I will even toss in a rule or two. Personally, I save this "look” for the comfort of my apartment. For those of you dying to show the world your hoodie collection- here is what to do.

1.) Put a little effort into it- Meaning simply don’t zip that hoodie up to your neck! Throw a graphic, or even a striped tee underneath. Perhaps add a necklace into the mix. Trick us into thinking your comfort was purely an added bonus to a great look.

2.) Cute it up- Hoodies come in all sorts of colors, with prints, embroidery, beading, and other accents. Let the actual article of clothing do the work for you. If you do not feel like putting a lot of thought into it, this is the option for

Its lazy, it sloppy, it can never be cute (nless you are home watching American Idol). Wear your hoodie with jeans PLEASE. Pair it up with cute pointy toe pumps, or adorable ballerina flats.

Now those rules weren't so bad now were they? Nah. Lets go over the perfect outfit…..

Care to perfect the look? Add the seasons hottest wide head band; as for the make-up light dusting of powder, sheer lip gloss, and alittle mascara.

Remember, comfort does not mean ugly. As long as your clothes fit beautifully and are made in a comfortable fabric- you are comfortable. Really- try it.
