Maggie's Graduation

One of my presents to Maggie ... a handcrafted pen (by a fellow in the Crystal Falls area.  He makes highly polished items of exotic woods.  This pen is made from "Eucalyptus Burl".  I thought this is heirloom-quality for a gift.
He is often at the same gun shows that I take my craft items to.

Her Dad would have been so proud of her.  (He died several months before her High-School graduation.)

My two sons also went to the graduation. I got a chance to visit each of them.  When I stopped to pick up Ken, as usual, he was busy working on a car.  At Alan's house, I took some pictures of their double-registered Buckskin Quarter Horses.

Before I left home ... these wild "choke-cherry" trees behind my house burst into blossom ... in a few hours time ... so quickly that I thought I was seeing things!

Big turkey!
He posed for this picture.

This is zoomed-in
as far as possible.

I was only gone for two days ... I'm wondering what happened here while I was gone. My deer & turkeys ... they are very skittish; some days they haven't been here at all.
I had taken this far-away photo the day I left.  To me it seemed like either a wolf or a German Shepherd.  The neighbor dogs up the road don't leave their yard.  The animal is definately not a fox, coyote, deer, or bear. WOLVES ARE ON MY ENDANGERED LIST.

The "royal family" - Elizabeth & family-  made my heart glad yesterday.  I actually said a thank you prayer when they showed up yesterday.

(I've been putting my flowers out on the deck for fresh air & exercise during the day.)

SOMETHING SILLY ... WHILE DOZING OFF DURING THE 5 am NEWS ... I HAD AN EXCITING  DREAM.  THIS DREAM WAS IN FULL COLOR & THE SOUND WAS SO REAL.
I dreamed that I grabbed my camera & ran out on the deck to get a quick picture of some BUFFALO that came stampeding & bellering down the hill!

Looking down the main street of Crystal Falls on M69 East ... the river is at the foot of the hill.

 See ... I REALLY am a BLOGGER!

I just love this social commentary, written by my niece:

FOOD FOR THOUGHT;

ATTN: ANTI-GUN ACTIVISTS

NOTE THAT THIS WAS FROM
ADOLPH HITLER IN 1935!

At the same gun show.

NOTE HER HAND-CRAFTED SIGN IN THE BACKGROUND:

"FIGHT CRIME; SHOOT BACK"

HOPING THAT PEOPLE REMEMBER TO "BUY AMERICAN" WHEN SPENDING THE "ECONOMIC STIMULOUS" CHECK!
Look at the label; buy American,
if you can.

Try to save whatever is left of manufacturers in the USA!

If it says other than "Made in America" ...
PUDDIT BACK!
DON'T BUY IT!

If it says "Made in China" ...
PUDDIT BACK!
DON'T BUY IT!

This is my "must-do" T.V., sit-down-&-watch" show each day; this would be my choice if I could only watch one show forever.  See his comments on the politicians.

My winter reading project ... I've been  too busy to do my book reports, or read any many  books; maybe today  I can return the ones that I have.

Some critters ... who look pretty silly:

A FINAL THOUGHT ...

You are a South African bush pilot working for Blue Sky Aviation.
You fly in some critical medical supplies, enjoy a quick lunch at the hospital.

It's a stifling 100 degrees in the shade and you're eager to get back up to the cool, high blue yonder.

On the way back to your plane, you discover that the only bit of shade within miles has become very popular . . You start calculating the distance to the plane door and wonder . . .

"Do I feel lucky today?"

I also extend congratulations to Maggie. It is good when a family touches each others lives like that.
Your pictures were great as usual.

Your grad pictures were great. Congrats to Maggie. That pen you gave her is beautiful. Wonder what has upset the critters. Elizabeth wouldn't stand a chance against a big dog or wolf. I hope wolves don't start coming around there or all the critters you feed will be destroyed. Your dream was funny. Have a great weekend. Helen
