The Haircut

Thanks to my long time friend Ruthie down in Hemet, California for this one.

THE HAIRCUT
A young boy had just received his driver's permit and asked his father if they could discuss his use of the car.  His father said he'd make a deal with his son.  'You bring your grades up from a C to a B Average, study your Bible a little, get your hair cut and we'll talk about the car.'

The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer and they agreed on it.  After about six weeks his father said, 'Son, I've been real proud. You brought your grades up and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm real disappointed you didn't get your hair cut.'

The young man paused a moment then said, 'You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair and there's even a strong argument that Jesus had long hair.'

To this his father replied, 'Did you also notice that they all walked everywhere they went?'

    Morning Linda,

WHERE do you find these?   As always gave me a chuckle.
Trying to get plans for our cruise and the additional visits to journal friends nearby.
Hubby said he would also take me to Texas to visit a friend and then we could see my kin in OK.
I am up early, had my walk and now tea...before hubby gets up.
We had a great 2 days away celebrating his #65.   Went to a dinner theatre in teh West Edmonton Mall called "Buddy Holly birthday bash" so of course the music was of our generation.
It has been sometime since we have had "fun" having worked so many hours for so long I though maybe we forgot how.

    Love and blessings,

    Lori
