9/11 2006: How We Remembered

Google did the pcitures

CBS

CBS showed a tons of beautiful long stemed roses laying in the memorail ponds at the 9/11 sight as relatives read out the namesof the victims of 9/11 in New York. The relatives or friend of the victim was standing on a new long ramp; very poignant!

Later a reporter interviewed the wife of the pilot of the plane that went down with her two daughters! Theyare wonderful! The girls and their mother were so proud of their father!Awesome!

I heard also from Bill that someone had thirty six flags put up in a field as a commemoration for the fallen policement he had known; each policeman had a flag!

They also featured two women from a non profit that they had created called:onegooddeed.com that seesk to help the victims and their families!

This morning CBS had some English police persons featured in uniform in theri early show. These men and women were touting the good that their non profit was doing to help victims! They said that they were happy that Americans were visitng England and that Amercians are alwasy welcome there.

I guess that the best news for me is that some people have helped and that many people have survived and some of them have thrived!

Please leave comments of good cheer!

TY!

The next time I get into a plane, it'll be a B-52 heading to Iran. Otherwise, there's nothing that great in the world that I can't drive to. My vacations will occur within a Chicago/Florida/Quebec triangle that I'm perfectly at ease with. I might take a cruise ship to France, but even that worries me.

I watched it all on tv over here. The names being read out, the roses in the pond.  It was heartbreaking.
