Lords of the New Church 2003 EuroTour

LUZERN, Switzerland MAY 10- 
After crossing into Switzerland, the weather and scenery became instantly refreshing and we even welcomed the light shower as a cleansing. This club SEDEL resides in an old prison which now houses 60 rehearsal rooms for bands. I believe there were 3-4 floors and the mountainous view was incredibly breathtaking. 1/2 our entourage stayed in the barracks at the club while Dave, Bri, Steven and I returned to our "bed n breakfast" accommodations (which was actually a revamped rehab home) Very fitting on this night as I had perhaps had too much too drink before even hitting the stage. With nothing else to occupy your time pre-show, you share the local’s beer and wine with them to pass time and get acquainted. What they rarely understand is that we are put in this very same situation every day after day. Our show was par for the course but we did notice many of the GOTH types dissipating due to our very rocking set. Afterwards the DJ spun fantastic goth tunes and although I felt very compelled to stay, realized I would surely get more sleep elsewhere.

 ...gotta choose your battles here in the fields and live to fight another day. It was very encouraging to see Lady Bomb and Sandra had now joined along for the fight!
