Lords of the New Church 2003 EuroTour

Torino, Italy-
We had driven all day to play in this decent sized lower level club. The dinner was nothing to speak of as the LORDS camp opted for the hotel instead of eating. We have finally convinced STEVE MARQUE to join the "Hair Diet." "If ya got hair, DYE IT!!" Dave Tregunna exclaimed. Marque was a light bulb in the dark up there on stage with us and his Florida blond locks.The opening act was BLACK GIN ANGELS, and every ounce of them and their execution reeked of bad, late 80's hair metal ala GnR meets Cinderella;scarves, boots, et all. When we returned to the club for our scheduled 11:30 set  B G A had not even played yet. There was no way I could sit through that, so I instead prowled the empty streets of TORINO on this now TOO LATE Tuesday evening. The entire city was indoors watching their football team lose on TV earlier, which explains the poor attendance back at the club. The set went off without a hitch but only the gothy types twitched and danced. Our crew assisted my walk back to the hotel when we were stopped by POLIZEI for curfew?? Personally, I think it was our 3 am bellowing mockery of "VOLARE" in the streets that they took offense to. Batons drawn, we barley talked our way out of it all. Luckily our hotel was just 2 blocks away or we'd have likely taken a ride or a beating. Tomorrow we take ROME.  It's an 8 hr ride …. how rock n roll is that????
