Feeling Happy

stamps

As everyone might be aware, the price of stamps goes up on May 12.  I knew it was in May but I emailed my brother who works for the post office and he said it was May 12.

Anyway, he said (and he said it was okay to tell everyone that it was not a well-kept post office secret) that if you buy the "forever stamps" (the ones with the bell on it) you pay the price now of stamps, but it will still be good when the postage goes up.  It was some type of marketing gimmick (his words) of the post office.

This is great news to me because I bought three pages of these (20 on a page) through my bank about 3 weeks ago and still had 2 pages left and was wondering if I was going to need to get penny stamps to make up the difference. (thank you Lord for meeting that need)

Just a money saving tip this morning. Enjoy the day.

I usually buy stamps at the ATM for convenience and realize that you pay a bit more for them, until the other day I realized I was paying 50 cents a stamp and then heard they were going up... so I won't be buying them at the ATM anymore.....

I have a bunch of forever stamps but I'm still saving them until the price goes up really high.  I think it's just a penny this time.  I was wondering if they were only selling them for a limited time but it appears not because they've been around well over a year.  Have a blessed Sunday!  Chris

I knew about the forever stamps and with the rates of postage continuing to climb it would be well worth it to stock up as much as we can before May 12!
