Thoughts of A Marine

I guess this little town we live in is doing fall clean up, so everyone on the block has put out all kinds of junk.  All night there has been a swarm of people driving by and picking through all of it, kinda looks like people are leaving piles of money at the curb. 

 

On another note, I added a new song that I would like to dedicate to Holly, every time I hear it I think of her, always have.

Well I really like my new job, all the people I work with are really nice and really laid back. I sit on a forklift all day and load/unload trucks, keep the ladies supplied with what they need to get their job done and warehouse the stuff that they make. It’s the same hourly wage as my last job but I won’t be getting as many hours and no bonus after so many loads, but in 3 months I will be able to receive benefits, at 6 months I get a raise and a weeks vacation, at a year I get another raise and another weeks vacation, and we have like 4 or 5 floating holiday’s along with the usual holidays off paid. I also know what time I’m gonna be done each day, I work 7 am till 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. I really like that cause now I can make plans to do stuff, like help coach Anthony’s teams or actually make it to his games. Well just thought I would let everyone know how it was. Ok, here's my damn luck, I've been unemployed for like a month now, put in many many applications, and till today nothing.  I got called and hired for a nice cushy forklift job at the same hourly wage i was making at my previous job but with benefits, 40 hrs a week plus some overtime if needed.  Now today Delphi started taking applications for temp jobs at the same hourly wage but no benefits, but it would be a foot in the door if they decided to hire anyone permanently, well they called me and want me to interview tomorrow morning at 10:15.....I knew this would happen. 

The company I got hired at oddly enough supplies delphi.  Well i think i am going to stay where I'm at cause they said there was a good chance for advancement here.

OMG!!!! do I need to find a damn job!!!!!!! This weekend I found my self cleaning the house during the commercials of the "Super Nanny" while I was having a garage sale, and I almost stopped to see what Martha Stewart was up too.....aaaaaahhhhhhhgggggggg! What the hell is coming over me! Has anyone seen my balls....I seem to have misplaced them. I have such an anxious feeling all the time, I hate, hate, hate not working it is driving me crazy, the kids are driving me crazy. All the little things that bug me but I usually let go, and really getting on my nerves bad, I really feel like I’m gonna snap. I almost smacked the shit out of the neighbor kid today, he is 9 yrs old comes over and tries to pick Mariah up, she cries every time, she doesn’t like him at all, and I tell him every time to stop, today he did it again when I was coming back from getting Anthony off the bus. I yelled at him this time, I said "put her down she doesn’t fucking like you don’t pick her up again, just go home". They already think we’re snobs, so that won’t help at all. I don’t know if Holly mentioned it but the lady that use to own this house stopped by our garage sale, she is a very nice lady, well she still talks to the neighbors, well she said that our neighbor, the one in the wheel chair, was telling her that she wishes she still lived here cause now she lives between two snobs. Well if being a snob means we don’t let our kids go off where ever and we try to keep them safe by making them play in the back yard instead of by the street, and we know where they are and keep an eye on them, and we try to keep our house clean, well then I guess we are snobs. Well that’s it for now, there is sooooo much swelling around in my head I can’t get it all straight.

Well my boss finally came off with me final pay check, I had to pick it up after 4:00pm today. Seems kinda fishy to me, his wife slipped and told me one time that he was coming down on her for using too much of that money for personal reasons, then Friday morning I called her and asked her if I could get my check. She started stalling and saying stuff like "ummm.....I thought you were off till Monday," I say" well ya but my pay day is Friday and I need the money", she says "well I have to take my daughter to an appointment at 11" I say that’s fine just make the check out and leave it on your porch in a bag and I’ll come pick it up on the way, she says well ok I guess I can do that, when I get there she is leaving and I get the bag to only find $95 cash, for my bonus for the 2 weeks. Oh well that’s enough for our trip to the zoo, Lazy bitch (I’m thinking to myself) an hour or so later when I’m almost at the zoo is when my boss calls me to say he is quitting the business all together. I call him Saturday and ask if I can get my check and he says well there is a discrepancy with your hours so I’m gonna have to get with the manager to figure it out on Monday, him and I have some words and that got me no where. So today I call him about 11 and ask if he has gotten around to getting my check ready, he says it will be there after 4.....hmmm after the bank closes I can get my check.....I said to him, "so you just didn’t have enough money to cover it huh? And all I got was silence then a hang up. So I go pick up my check and there is a $106 tow bill deducted from it for when the one truck blew up last week. Asshole, I gotta suffer cause his wife can’t manage a checking account. Oh well at least I’m done with them. The company that is hauling for them now wants to hire me but can’t cause of the points on my licence. Well I have a couple places I want to try putting my app in, I filed for unemployment today, hopefully he’s not dick and try to fight it. Well I don’t really have a whole lot to say so I think I’m gonna go clean and have a little fire out back for me and the kids.

Well, I feel like I have officially hit rock bottom. I took Thursday and Friday off so Holly and I could take the kids to do something before school started, and so we could get some stuff done around here that we’ve wanted to get done. Well on my way to the Zoo yesterday my boss calls me to let me know he is quitting the trucking business as of that moment. Which means Monday morning I have no job to go back to. It’s no like I can be up beat and say oh well I’ll get another one Monday, because I still have that little issue with the points on my licence that has been keeping me from getting another job in the first place. The only up side is I should be able to get unemployment and I am now broke enough that maybe legal aid will help me get the points. I want another driving job but I would take anything that pays the bills. Well I have some cleaning to do, I am a house husband now and want to have everything done when my sweety gets home.

Oh and apparently some baseball fag has been bashing my YouTube slide show I made of the kids.
