Feeling Happy
Hearing Actually, I've got the TV going.
Mornings In Onyx.
The above pictures are from our new home out here in the "Sticks"... Onyx has ONE gas station (Mini Mart too) an old store that's closed and has been here since the late 1800's and was known back then for it's sausage. After 12 years, my antiques finally see a REAL house again, (Can you call a mobile home a 'real' house now?). Our back yard is the back side of a small mountian, full of boulders.
Our family is GROWING, we came here with 2 cats and left our 8.5 horses at our shoer, Ron Gilbert's place which is kitty corner from our 20 acres. But once moved in, fell in love with this quiet area, the close proximity to a hospital (Hubby has medical needs.) AND the time and care that the gentleman who owned this mobile put into it. Not all is as appears on the outside.
Imagine having a home that has "dimmer" switches on EVERY wall and EVERY light, working remotes for the lights, the ceiling fans, electronic timers for the two driveway lanterns, etc... Not one but two swamp coolers and 3 heaters, one the central heating unit for the entire house and a couple of in room propane heaters that are thermastatically controlled off the walls.
The one MAJOR problem is the carpets. Apparently, he didn't see too well, they were filthy, but room by room we've been renting a rug shampooer and cleaning them. Of course with our new addition to the household, 6 year old Gigi, the Australian Shepherd we befriended back when we were staying at Rose and David's (That's another adventure to be shared.) came to live with us last month.
Then tomorrow (Thursday) we pick up another little dog (Pom cross) named Lil Bear. We saved him from being destroyed at the local shelter (Where most of Tim's animals went after Tim, Lil Bear and Gigi's former owner, got seriously injured and is STILL in a coma down in a Bakersfield Hospital.). Only Gigi and her last pup, were spared the shelter, because they had immediate homes.
So, tomorrow afternoon our house grows by one...

Your description of inside makes it sound like a 'castle'! Would LOVE to live in a place that small with no one to bother you! You've done a nice job setting this up and look forward to more entries :)
