AOL Community CHallenged- Aged- Both the Judged and Fun categories

This week's challenge is AGED.  So find something that shows age or take an image & make it vintage or aged.

Post your challenge entry on your blog, come back here & leave your link in the comment area on either the FUN or JUDGED category.

Please follow the basic
guidelines & keep in mind the minor change.

DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, April 4th!

This was Ken's stepfather's old homeplace. It is still standing today.

This was our daughter in law's grandparents old homeplace. It was bulldozed down two weeks after I took this picture.

Have a blessed afternoon everyone. Helen

Definitely an old place... but fascinating to see what time and neglect does to architecture. Sad, too, when you think families were raised there, folks called it home. In time, no one will remember it was ever there. Except anyone who keeps the story alive, and has the picture of it, like you do. That top one is a great photo! bea

OH WOW!! These are absolutely beautiful! From a photography aspect I especially like the first one, but the second one is really special because of the signifigance of it being torn down right after. I love them both!

I know your DIL is glad you got those pics.    Isn't it amazing some of these old buildings that are still standing.   Some of the ones on the TN/AL state line look like a swift wind would blow them down.
    Great post.

What wonderful shots, Helen! I love to view and photograph aging buildings - and sit quietly outside them and imagine the histories they hold. Thank you for sharing.

Helen, that's a great image! I'm a tad confused, though...you said it's for fun, both in your entry and here, in your journal, but you entered it into the "judged" category...so...which is it? :) I love it either way.
