From the Edge of Dementia

I felt pretty good comin' out of the bathtub.  I was ready to start my Christmas projects.  But we needed some things at the store and I'm never out in the world that ma doesn't call me to do "one more thing" while I'm out (in this case, three more things).  So what energy I had has rapidly depleted.  If I were to get horizontal right now I'd be asleep inside of 10 minutes.  However, I refuse to take my Harley boots off and I refuse to get comfortable because I'll be a slug while making dinner (as I have been for the last several days) and I hate that feeling. 

My digestive track is shot, too.  Which is normal for a situation such as this.  I feel like I have been walking through this fire for a year and it's only been a few days.  This, too, is normal.  For me, at least. 

In a few more minutes I'll be helping Ma put the empty Christmas boxes away.  And not long after it will be time for dinner again. 

At least sleep will come easy tonight.  For that I am most thankful.
