A Quick Word About Kennedy Month

Although President John F. Kennedy is probably the most famous of the Kennedy clan, the two heroes in my life are Pop and Bobby Kennedy.  And while a lot of the Kennedy content provided here over the month of November will revolve around the two famous brothers, it's important to know that the Kennedys were A CLAN.  There was no campaign that the entire family did not play a major role, including the girls.  In fact, Old Joe once said that if Eunice had been born with a set of balls, she'da been the best politician in the family.  Eunice, I'm sure, felt the same way, but she later went on make her own mark in the world.  Eunice Kennedy Shriver, JFK's sister, is the founder of Special Olympics.

Lots of people tease me about my love of the Kennedys.  I just can't help it.  Faults or no, they led us through one of the most trying decades in our nations history and were senselessly assassinated for their efforts.  Like 'em or not, they cast a long and interesting shadow over the political life of this country.

Enjoy!

Hey if you're doing a Kennedy blurb there's lots of citation in a series of articles over @ sott.net, check the left side of the homepage.

Ill come back and read about the Kennedy's.  They've always been interesting to me.   Got behind in my reading, trying to catch up.  :)

I can't wait for you to start talking about the Kennedy's!  I've always loved them!  They are my favorite political 'clan!'

This is going to be good!

I'll be interested to see your blog in the coming months.
My mom picked up a book of poetry over the summer that was a compolation of some of Jackie O's favourite poems.  It's an excellent collection.  Her daughter (I'm not sure what her name is) put it together.
