Satan is Such a stinker!
I was watching a TV show about faith and about satans deception of us. It was focusing on Revelations... how the Word says that satan is going to try and deceive us in the last days. How he may even try to appear 'Christ like', and how his followers are going to try and appear like pastors. But they will be judged according to their works.
It was all really fascinating until the man brought up an interesting point that I had never thought of.
It has been this way always.
Satan has always tried to deceive us, and turn us away from God and from the Truth.
It happened in the garden of Eden... the serpent tried to make Eve doubt God's words to her... "Did God really say you couldn't eat from that tree?"
And what about when satan talks to Jesus in the desert? Just days before the skies had opened and God had declared Jesus His son... and here was satan saying, "Are you really the son of God?"
And it will happen in the end of days.
And it happens in every moment between now and then.
Spiritual warfare is not a myth, nor a delusional accessory for Christians to ponder. Spiritual warfare is how satan operates. God tells us to behave one way... satan tries to get us to behave another way.
I have always been fascinated by Spiritual Warfare... maybe even to a fault, as I should focus more on the Word then the manipulation of it.
I just want everyone to believe in Jesus and that He died for our sins.
This weekend was wonderful and agony all at the same time. Chad gave me Saturday afternoon to myself, and I went out and met Linnea for lunch. It was great! But at the same time, I had (and still have) the worst sore throat I have ever had. I tried everything. Gargled salt water. Used Chloraspetic, even Tylenol. (I did not try Ibuprofen as Linnea suggested, because of it's de-swelling abilities, but only because I dont have any and didnt feel like going to the store) It still hurts SO bad!
I know Missy and Christy have been dealing with illness in their own households... I am praying for good health and happiness for you ladies and for the rest of you.

Hope you are better. I hate getting a sore throat.
spiritual warfare is real! so are generational curses. i have dealt with both these in my life. you have had some excellent comments on this so far! i am dealing with you know who right now. i foolishly told him to 'bring it" lol and he did! I know that as long as i trust God and dont give up he cant win. I read the scriptures someone qouted below and they are my fortress!God did not say he satan, was powerless, he siad Jesus had taken authority from him. what good is power if you arent authorized to use it. In Christ we have the authority to use the power God gave us.That liar is a loser, satan. He cant take my salvation and like was already said he has to get permission to take my life coz he doesnt have authority ! even if does that i will be with Jesus for eternity. Thats is something he cant say. -

Sweetie I know I rarely follow the advice I'm going to give, but if you can get into the dr to make sure you don't have strep. I only suggest it because if you do have it your boys and/or Chad can easily get it as well and after the sick winter we've had I'd hate to see you guys passing around strep.

This is the first time I've visited your blog and was most interested in "Satan is such a stinker". obtw, spellchecker wants satan capitolized because it is a name, just like John or Mary.
I agree with you that the old devil has been up to his tricks since the very beginning of mankind. And I agree with you that he will continue until the end of days. But it is going to get worse, much worse.Unimaginabl worse. He will perform miracles that would deceive the very elect. He will deceive many who thought they could never be deceived. (Don't know about you, but I'm not going to be here for that part, I'm getting raptured! My reservation is made and the ticket was paid for by Jesus himself!)
I truly appreciate every Christian who chooses to take a stand for Jesus. You are not alone in possibly facing persecution from family and friends. Remember, blessed are those who are persecuted for Jesus' sake. At all time, no matter how angry the others get, be loving, just as Jesus would. What ever you do, do not be judgemental of those who assault you. We need not agree with their views, lifestyle or beliefs. We do not participate in activities contrary to the teachings of our Lord. But at ALL time, we are to love everyone, just as Jesus does.
How much does God love the sinner? He loves the sinner so much that while the sinner is still an enemy of God, God chose to sacrifaice his only begotten son, Jesus, to save the sinners. Oops, sorry, just realized I was preaching, didn't come here to do that!
