"I Don't Have Time to Walk --Especially when American Idol is On"

From a Pets for Adoption web site:

Beautiful Puppy for Adoption - I am Moving, Can't take it with me

I am moving. Its too hard to find an apartment that takes dogs, besides she
keeps peeing in the house and she is already 7 months old. Its annoying. I
don't have time for her. I am at work all day and then I come home and she
peed and she makes a mess in the house.I don't have time to walk her,
especially when American Idol is on. Someone needs to take her. I just spent
a lot of money on her shots and worm medicine. I won't get back what I paid
for her. There will be a small rehoming fee. She is a beagle poodle mix.

Personal Comment:  The above represents good argument for why some people should never have a pet, as well as illustration to why our animal shelters are constantly filled.  Some people take issue with why some animal rescue organizations and shelters "screen" so carefully or require vet referances and previous committed experience before adopting animals out to new homes. The above "adoption ad" should answer all those questions. -- PCA

I'd ask you to tell me the above is a ludicrously bad joke, Patty -- but I know all too well how it isn't a joke.

This person, and all like her, shouldn't be trusted with a toilet plunger, let alone anyone living.
