The Reality of Two Possibilities

One imagines the producers of "Saturday Night Live" in a mad scramble to find the perfect Jeremiah Wright cast member for the next opening of SNL.

"EEASS not what your country can do for you.....Eeass what you can do for your country.  No one accused John F. Kennedy of speaking bad english!  But, they accuse black children!"

OK.  Here is someone who confuses regional accents with bad grammar. --  And then uses a murdered President to "prove" the point.   That should fly well on Saturday Night Live.

I took time to watch and listen to the full speeches from "controversial" pastor, Jeremiah Wright over the past couple of days.

It seems Barack Obama has some things to be concerned about.

For one matter, Pastor Wright seems to have nothing at all good to say about America, the government or white people.

Were someone waking up from 20 years of amnesia to hear Wright's words, one would think one was living in nazi Germany or 19th century America where the government terrorizes, enslaves and deliberately inflicts deadly diseases on people.

Racism, injustice, misery, poverty, and division reign supreme while kindness, equality, fairness, social progress, understanding or gaiety are unknowns.

21st century America is indeed a dark, dark place.

The puzzle about Mr. Wright that is, in some ways more alarming than the actual things he says, is the fact these diatribes are not coming from a stupid or uneducated man.

On the contrary, Wright is extremely learned, erudite and bright.

Some of the things Wright says make perfect sense and are in fact, quite profound:  Yes, "Difference does not indicate deficiency (though it can sometimes indicate insanity).

But, other things shouted by Wright are so hard left, radical and downright delusional, that it can be hard to tell the difference between some of Wright's rantings and the writings of Osama Bin Laden.

Let it be noted, that there is often a thin line between genius and insanity.

The egoism, exaggeration, excessive pride, bitter sarcasm, demagoguery, vengeance, delusion and paranoia are so pronounced throughout the vitriolic words of pastor Wright, they are downright scary -- especially when one considers that one of his closest friends and parishioners over 20 years is running for the highest office in the land -- President of the United States.

There is no way to truly "separate" Barack Obama from Reverend Wright.

The Presidential candidate attended Wright's church for 20 years, donated tens of thousands of dollars to the church, dedicated a book to the pastor, was married by Wright and had his children baptized by Wright.

Wright was originally made a part of the Obama campaign as religious advisor.

There is no way in hell that in a close association such as this over 20 years, Barack Obama could have been "unaware" of the more controversial and radical stands and beliefs of Jeremiah Wright. -- No way at all. Obama is either outrightly lying when he making such claims or he has been living in some bizarre state of profound denial for more than 20 years.

There are really only two possibilities to consider:

1-- Barack Obama misled and totally "used" Reverend Wright in order to gain prominence in the black Chicago community and to advance his political ambitions and career.

2-- Barack Obama shares and fully supports most of the beliefs of Reverend Wright -- or is in complete denial over them.

Judging from some of the recent and very bitter words of Reverend Wright, one suspects a man scorned or betrayed by a close and trusted friend.

The "timing" of Mr. Wright's media jaunts could not be more perfect if intent was to damage the Obama campaign.

"He's a politician and says what he has to."

Either Wright feels he was used for political gain and then betrayed OR he knows and fully trusts Obama shares his views and beliefs and is only saying otherwise in order to win elections.

One senses it is probably more the former than the latter, but it is hard to know for sure..

Reverend Wright is a very bitter man.  He took this young upstart under his wing only to later be thrown overboard for political expediency.

But, ultimately one needs to question, who else does Barack Obama "use" for political gain?

How about the American people?  -- Especially, the young and the gullible?

Ah, all that talk about "hope and change."

Wright talked about "change" too, yesterday.

"A change is gonna come!"

The question is, what change?

The American people -- and especially, the Democratic party need to wake up to the reality of the two possibilities previously cited.

Either Barack Obama is a brilliant, polished, and ambitious "con man" who uses others for his own political goals -- or, he is every bit as delusional, prideful and bitter as the pastor he idolized for 20 years.

Neither one speaks well for a potential President.

If nominated, Obama will be lucky to win two states in November.

But, if somehow pulling out the November election because his followers are so in denial to recognize reality, it will be an even more scary day in American than when George W. Bush managed to hijack the 2000 election.

"Change is comin'!"

The question is, "What change?" -- PCA
