A Mother's Love~
ON being a mother...... When my daughter was born I thought I could not love anyone more. It was an amazing love that only a mother would understand. Then my son was born....& somehow you love that person just as much....you have the ability to find more love in your heart. A Mother's love is endless...it is an eternal love.......it is timeless~
Then 7 years later came my youngest son. He was the one who tested my strength as a mother, as a person...as a survivor. He was my miracle baby, my problem child....he required most of my attention, because he was born so small, & was a preemie. When my youngest was around 5, I became a single parent.... another test of strength. BUT...we all survived....Ü
There are times when each of my children feels like they are my favorite. They are right. Each one is my favorite, and that will never change.
Wishing Everyone who is a mother, a grandmother, a step mom, a God mother.....a foster mom....even single dads who are both mother & father to their children. Happy Mother's Day!
~Taken by my sister in 1982 My daughter & me...Ü

Bronx Zoo trip 2
I went again to the Bronx Zoo today because I had half a day at work & thought it would be the best time for me & no crowds....WRONG! It was pretty crowded again. Perfect day I guess for many people to be at the Bronx Zoo. I got there at 2 PM & school children were leaving. I went back b/c I never got a chance to capture any Lion shots....In fact, I didn't see the lions, we missed them & went in the opposite direction. So I found the lions...& I thought I was happy....but then I saw in a distance a PROUD peacock just strutting off his stuff! So this is for Kat & Nancy ....we waited & waited for them to show us their feathers.....Nothing....so this time I really didn't expect to see them, & quite a few were showing off. I wasn't feeling too great so I only stayed for 2 hours...I promised Nancy I wouldn't over do it....But once your there, I guess I felt I needed to make sure I didn't miss anything....I left at 4.

I totally understand, we were there for photos. It really was a lovely day, but I little too hot for me. It was great to see Kat & Nancy, again. Here is a sample of what I got. It's not much.

Terra Cotta Faces Sorry, another photo from Italy.....Ü I took this outside of Paestum, where the Greek Temples were. It was an outdoor market with beautiful terra cotta faces. I loved them, & wanted to buy a few, but the prices in American money was high. At the time, our dollar was was not worth much (still isn't)& if I purchased something for 10 Euros is would have cost me $15.....Plus I was limited to space in my suitcase, weight limit!
More Italy Photos in my Gallery, click HERE! Just scroll down to Italy! If you are up for another PHOTO Challenge check out Our AOL Community Challenge, it also runs BiWeekly, Our next challenge will be posted on Friday.

Buddy Holly is alive & kicking
Buddy Holly is alive & kicking in Elmsford, NY. Pat McRoberts performed as the rock star and gave an amazing performance in Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story at the Westchester Broadway Theatre.
Last night, we had 2nd row, center seats, one of the best seats in the house, but then again, there really aren't any bad seats at that theatre. The performers were all actors & musicians.....all singing, acting & playing their own instruments through out the whole show. The cast was fantastic & the star was outrageous, he was BUDDY HOLLY!
Unfortunately there is only one more week left, I think their last performance is Saturday the 19th & then it's over. If you live in the area, I totally, no,.....HIGHLY recommend you find time, if you can get seats, to see this WONDERFUL, rockin musical. I loved it!
