Round Robin Challenge: Wooden

Round Robin- Wooden

Wooden door at the Old Bethpage Village on LI, take in 2007
It could have been a hen house, not sure.  It was taken in this section of the Village in the below photo.
It's an old farm restored & part of this village.  The door belongs to one of the small buildings on the right side.  More photos of this village can be found on my link above.

Old Bethpage Village is a historical environment located in Old Bethpage in Nassau County on Long Island. The buildings in the village are from the early 1700's to 1865 & were from different towns on Long Island. Most buildings are restored & a few are falling apart due to lack of funds.

All the highlight and shadow, along with wood grain show together beautifully.   The panoramic of the village is excellent.    The weather here has been cool and way above average rain so I am getting little done outside.   My back from surgery is doing very well.    mark

Oh, that door has a lot of character, which you've captured beautifully! I enjoyed the rest of the photo set also. I hope they get some additional funding soon!

Beautiful entry.  That door is magnificent.  I followed your link to the other photos.  Gorgeous. I especially like your crate picture. I now have another place to visit when I go back to L.I.  - Kiva

    Hi Again Marie :)

That's so sad. I love buildings which rich historical histories to them. It happens all over though. It's sad when different communities are unable to spare parts of the past like this one. Sigh. Maybe one day, we will be able to do right by the past. Thanks so much for the extended information, I would enjoy seeing more like this.

    Always, Carly
