A sad day in American History

Today marks the anniversary of Roe v Wade, the worst holocaust perpetuated on mankind - 43 million killed.  Michelle Malkin gives many sites that talk about this http://michellemalkin.com/mt/mt-tb.cgi/842 Bush may have the opportunity to appoint four supreme court justices.  Maybe then, we can overturn this travesty.  Even Norma McCorvey (Jane Roe) is now pro-life.

While I love babies as much as the next person (my own most of all :) ), you failed to mention the millions of women's lives saved because of Roe v. Wade.  I'm not saying MORE women have been saved, but a substantial benefit to legalized abortion in the 1st trimester (all Roe v. Wade actually allows without serious medical reason) is that they are performed safely by licensed doctors, and not by hacks in a back alley somewhere with a dirty knife.

Imagine if that was someone you loved...  Would you rather they underwent a safe medical procedure (yes, there CAN be complications, but most often there are not) performed by a doctor, or a painful, extremely dangerous, illegal procedure performed by anyone who was callous enough to put the woman's life in danger?

    Food for thought...

(PS, I am not for "abortion on demand" in most cases, I am actually quite conservative personally on this issue--but I also believe that a person will be judged by his/her actions by God (if there is one...  I'd love to believe there is) and not by me.  "Let he without sin cast the first stone...")
