Our Security threatened by open borders

I have continously harped on the need for closing our borders. This is one issue that neither Democrats or Republicans address appropriately. Both sides pander for the Hispanic vote and the special interest groups. This is not a racial issue - and the economic issue of poor migrants crossing the border has been overshadowed by our need for security. Bush needs to get serious about closing the borders. If the border patrol cannot do the job, then Bush should think about putting the National Guard on the border. If a Mexican with a third grade education can easily cross the border, just think how easy it would be for an educated terrorist to cross the border. We already know this is happening, and this story should give anyone great fear and consternation http://counterterror.typepad.com/the_counterterrorism_blog/2005/01/reports_of_poss.html . As long as our politicians continue to pander for the Hispanic vote, we will continue to be in grave danger. Polls have continously shown the majority of Americans want the borders closed - this is not a partisan issue.
