Recipe

Onion Casserole

4 medium onions, sliced

1/2 stick margarine or butter

12 saltine crackers, crushed

1 can cream of chicken soup

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 cup sharp cheese, grated

         - Saute onions in butter or margarine until tender. Line 8 by 8 inch buttered casserole dish with crushed crackers. Mix onions with chicken soup; pour over crackers. Beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper. Pour over the mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until brown and bubbly or approximately 35-40 minutes. Let set for 15 minutes before serving
