3 cups sugar

1 1/2 cup Crisco (shortening)

7 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

1 cup milk

3 cups flour

1/4 tsp. salt

2 (2 oz.) bottles red food coloring

          - Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add salt, flavoring and food coloring. Add flour and milk alternately. Bake 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. When cool, frost with cream cheese frosting.
