Apple Crisp

Ingredients

4 cups peeled, chopped cooking apples 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup margarine, melted 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked

Preparation

Combine apples and next 3 ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well to coat apples.  Arrange apple mixture in the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch square baking dish.  Combine margarine, brown sugar and oats, mixing well.  Spoon evenly over apple mixture.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.  Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.  Yield:  6 servings.
