I Am Honored.
I have just received a very cool award. It's in the About Me. I am honored beyond belief. Lord knows there are those out there who do much more than me. I just don't know what to say! Thank you Krissy. Thank you.
If you want to know what the heck I am talking about, you can read about it here. She writes better than I do so I will let her speak. It is A Nice Matters Award. It isn't about your blog, it's how you treat others in this blog world. That is totally cool. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem. It ain't often I'm told I'm not a problem!
Now you can snatch these awards at Krissy's or here. Let a few people know that they make this virtual/real world a nice neighborhood to live in. Make them a pie and show them that they matter and make a difference.
Now the hard part. Picking just a few. You all deserve it! But that isn't how the rules work. So.....
John: Most of you know he needs no introduction. He inspires all of us with his almost super human ability to always see the sun in the worst of weather. He shows us that regardless of what life throws at you, it is wonderful to be alive! He has brought so many of us together. Not just all over the country but all over the world! People who have never given blood in their life, did so because of him. The estimated total of blood given in his honor is 274 units. One pint of blood can save up to three lives. That is 822 lives! Enough said. So John, here ya go.
Dad: Here is a southern gentleman in the truest sense of the word. Every day he comes in and offers us a cup of coffee and a smile and words of wisdom. He loves his tomatoes! He loves his coffee, he loves his neighbors (online and offline) and most of all, he loves God. He is one of the rare ones. Those of us who have read even just one entry of his journal have become better because of it. Oh and if you go there, the price is one smile! God bless you my friend.
Barb: She has trials of her own but she never puts herself first. She cares about all of us and when you need a hefty dose of inspiration, she steps up to the plate and delivers. She has helped me many times when I was feeling down. She has this uncanny ability to know just the right time to send an email or a comment. She is without a doubt one of God's favorite children.
I have many more I could give these to. But if I don't stop, I will never be able to quit. I have many favorites. I can't name you all cause I have to sleep some time! But if you are reading this, I mean you! Now snag and display and spread the award. Let us all work to rid this wonderful world of blogs of the garbage that tries to ruin something wonderful. Just like in the real world, just be nice to each other. Oh, don't forget to be nice to yourself too!
