Sunday Dinner
Blackberry Jam Cake
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1-1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. blackberries
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. shortening
ICING:
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
Berry juice
Dash of salt
Instructions
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at atime, add drained berries. Alternate the buttermilk and dryingredients. Bake in two 8 or 9 inch pans at 375 degrees for 35minutes. Mix together.
