I had 5 small Subarachnoid hemorrhages back in 1987 and 1988, those caused several other brain problems including the following. Seizures, short term memory loss, loss of concentration and thought process. Gait and balance problems as well as Adult Hydrocephalus, that did not respond well shunt treatment.
I had a 3 level laminectomy, with a 4 level posterior lumbar spinal fusion, done in June of 2000. The surgery was done to correct Degenerative Disc Disease(DDD), Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Scoliosis, and 7 bone spurs. I had surgery at a point when I was facing a wheelchair and the surgery was very successful. However I still have DDD and spinal arthritis, as well as arthritis in many other areas. Live isn't always fun, but I normally get by fairly well, with the help of medications. I can be found daily on the AOL Back Pain Boards, or by email at herlippy1@aol.com I'm always willing to help others by doing research, or chatting. You'll find my spine journals full of information on spinal problems of all sorts. I have even more in my files. The first link is in the Favorite Journal section.
