5th Player is Suspended

Twenty-Six year old relief pitcher, Juan Rincon of the Minnesota Twins has been suspended for 10 games without pay. Rincon tested positive for a substance listed on the MLB's prohibited substance list. He is the fifth player this season to test positive for performance enhancing substances. Last season Rincon went 11-6 with a 2.63 ERA in 77 games. Just last season he signed a contract that paid him $440,000 this season and $900,000 in 2006. He has played in 12 games this season and is 2-1 with 15 strikeouts and 5 walks. He has a 2.25 ERA. Juan is eligible to return on May 12th. He is incredibly surprised with the results of the drug test, sure he is!
