Yankee Skid or Fall

MetsChampsIn2k2 [10:37 AM]:  How bad are the Yankees going to be this year, right now they are 11-19 and on a four game losing streak (3 of which have come by the hands of the Devil Rays) and Mariano just got another loss they can't seem to put anything together
Zbar88 [10:38 AM]:  I hate the Yankees more than anyone but they are just in an early season slump
MetsChampsIn2k2 [10:39 AM]:  It doesn't seem like they are coming out of it any time soon with the desperate moves they have been making. Switching Tony Womack out to left field to make room for Robinson Cano who is hitting .143 with two strike outs in a mere 14 at bats.
Zbar88 [10:41 AM]:  it may seem to many that the "dynasty" is crumbling and I hope that it is but all teams go through a slump at some time in the season. some teams go through tons of slumps
MetsChampsIn2k2 [10:42 AM]:  The Yankees are an aging ball club with a lot of immovable contracts Kevin Brown is 40 and owed 15.7 million this year and is 0-3 with a 6.63 ERA Randy Johnson is 41 years old owed 15.4 million dollars has no cartilage in his knee and is not pitching like he use to with a 2-2 record and 3.74 ERA. Bernie Williams is now 36 struggling to keep his job now that Matsui is patrolling centerfield and he is owed 12.3 million dollars this year and has a .236 average one homerun and 8 rbi's, Mussina is doing nothing special owed 19 million and is 1-2 with a near 5 ERA and the biggest disappointment of all is Jason Giambi whose hitting .208 with 6 RBI and just 3 HR
Zbar88 [10:44 AM]:  hey, no one is denying that the yanks are slipping but I’m saying that this year, at this time is just a slump
Zbar88 [10:44 AM]:  and a body full of steroids
MetsChampsIn2k2 [10:46 AM]:  Well this slump looks to be a year long slump and the end of this current dominancy for the Yankees they will have to go back to the times of the early 90's when they won with their farm system bringing up the likes of Jeter and Bernie Williams Scott Brocious and Paul O'Neil if they keep on paying the aging stars this will be the Yankees of the 80's and we all know how that turned out

 or

Johnson has yet to show the dominance he had with the Diamondbackswhich made him the most feared pitcher in the game.
