Feeling Worried

Home Run #'s Drop as Steroids Fade (Coincedence)

Alex Rodriguez

This is strictly my opinion and probably yours too but isn't it obvious that this sport was being controlled by steroids(or the big batting numbers were at least). Home Run numbers have dropped this year compared to the past couple of years and it has a lot to do with this stricter steroid policy. They have dropped 9% to be exact. Once Selig put this new policy in order everyone was scared, stopped with any illegal substance they were using and dropped their numbers, drastically. See what happens when you depend on these drugs to make you better, once they're gone you don't know how to do it on your own. HR's have dropped from 2.16 per game to 1.93 per game. Last year there was a total of 908 HR's. It will be pretty pathetic to see how far away our total this year is. RBI numbers have dropped as well. They have dropped 5% from last year, 9.72-9.23. Isn't the decrease of HR's, RBI's and hits a coincedance since Bud Selig just placed a stricter steroid policy into effect? I'm ecspecially angry now because the Phils just lost to the Brewers, 5-2 when it was tied 2-2 in the 8th with bases loaded and Pat Burrell dropped the ball. Can they ever keep a team from scoring with bases loaded and two outs?!

                             Go Phils (UGH!)
