Steroids not answer
I'm going to have to disagree with my co-writer on this steroid issue. Although homeruns are down 10% names like Jim Thome, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, and many others are basically non existent (On a side note that 908 homeruns was up to May 9th last year not all year). Each year the number differs and although the new testing policy is in place lets face it it hasn't scared any one. The big name players are basically untouchable no one "popular" has been caught yet. Until someone with the stats of a Jason Giambi or Barry Bonds are caught this steroid policy has not worked, Bud Seligh is well aware of this and is attempting to stricken it with the 3 strike your out rule in which a 1st time offence warrants a 50 game suspension followed by a 100 game suspension for a second time offence and life time for the 3rd. Steroids are still a problem in the game this is the first step to cleaning the game and I believe the most important. But after reading Jose Canseco's book Juiced I really believe that the problem starts in the minors. I know Jose is not a reliable source but with 48 minor leaguers already caught this is a good step in ridden steroids from the game. Start off from the bottom and work your way up.

Bud Selig would like to impose a stricter steroid policy, Alex Sanchez has the recgonition of being the first player caught under the current policy and Barry Bonds has yet to play a game this year having 3 knee surgeries since January and is now currently not rehabilitating. (Boy do I miss that swing)
