ebay Pulls out of CJ
What Ended This Long Union?
You think you all are shocked, bewildered and confused! I am an ebay affiliate with more than a fair amount of success. This Monday I got an email that ebay is no longer part of commisiion junction and my 9,000 + links to their auctions will not be recognized as of May 1 ! What they mean is, the links will work but I will not get paid!
Now get this. They send this bomb shell out 3/17/2008. There will be no information on how to migrate to the in-house ebay affiliate program until 4/1/2008 ! No one knows what has to be done to migrate their links. Then on top of everything else, once the information is released, I will have 30 days to comply! Give me a break. I'm screwed. I have been trying to contact my software people for three days. Their servers crashed under the volume of concerned clients and has yet to return, if they ever will.
I can not imagine the arrogance and stupidity behind this move. Ebay and cj go back to 2001. Now I have 30 days to save my business. I don't know if its worth it because the new ground rules are not available til April. What a way to treat 100,000+ affiliates. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
After reading this thread, I am more in shock than I was on Monday. ebay may be the number 1 ecommerce site right now but I bet it will not be by summer. I feel like a Russian in 1917. The whole of my world is about to change.

i swear to god i think ebay is out to screw the sellers over more and more. u gotta leave nothing but positive feedback for buyers; can't leave no negative feedback. you gotta suck up the 75% jump in final value fees and ebay wont let you pass that on to the buyer, not even a part of it to make things fair. and here lately ebay has been telling folks they need to ship for free and can't charge anything for the time and labor for shipping plus do all the work. and now this crap. its past being able to beleive how fuk'ed up ebay has gotten! its friggin insane and the stupid american public just sits on their collective asses doing nothing with their thumbs up their butts stuffing their fat lazy faces and letting these companies and countries just roll over them. its no wonder america is failing and is so full of shit. its not only ebay that deserves to have its ass kicked -- its america that needs its stupid, fat, lazy, do-nothing ass kicked too. and i'd be wiling to bet my ass that americans will get this ass kicked real soon by the chinese and if not their military, then their economy cuz they ain't stupid and saw how we whooped the world using our economy and now china has taken the lesson to heart and is going to do it to us but hey, we're a bunch of stupid americans -- reallyl -- and we're going to let them do it.
