A few months from now, specified shipping costs will become a requirement for most listings on eBay, including listings from third-party listing tools. (Exemptions will apply to certain categories like Vehicles, or services such as Freight.) I have a question in to eBay asking when the eBay shipping calculator will support major carriers like FedEx. (I double-checked eBay's help files, and sure enough, the calculator is limited to certain USPS and UPS services.) If you are a seller who doesn't ship via USPS or UPS and if you don't use flat-rate shipping, what do you plan on doing if the calculator doesn't support your method of shipping? |

This, coupled with eBay's insistence on making buyers use Paypal, shows that eBay is intent on making the entire online economy one big monopoly with eBay standing behind a bunch of companies that it either owns or has a vested profit making interest in. I find it SO unfair that eBay not only requires buyers begin to use Paypal, but that now they are basically dictating to the sellers which shipper they must use.
eBay has taken a great system and through the years made it worse and worse, and now they seem intent on destroying the whole thing!
I agree with that Cruzzer person, even if they do use foul language. Americans have gotten lazy and complacent and let anyone do anything to them while they just sit there in front of their TV's growing fatter and complaining without ever getting off their butts and doing something.
What has happened to you, America? Have you lost you soul?? Or just your common sense? -
and what if you are the one driving the stuff over to the buyer? or what if you use fed-x? or what if you use another shipper besides the one ebay says you gotta use? this is a bunch of crap!

I almost wonder if eBay hasn't gotten a partnership going with UPS (and maybe even the USPS?) since they don't cover my large item shippers such as Fed-Ex and DHL. Its almost like eBay is trying to FORCE the Sellers to use ONLY UPS or USPS, and giving us NO choice in how we ship an item! What are they trying to do - create some shipping monopolies, too??? eBay grows more insane by the DAY! Anyone Selling would have to be even MORE crazy than EBAY is to consider Selling ON eBay anymore!
