Subject: Postings on eBay's "Answer Center" - and BOY, are people MAD!

I was referred to eBay's Answer Center (and no, there are no eBay employees there to give you answers, LOL!) -- to view these Seller's comments about eBay and the situation eBay has gotten them into:

(NOTE THE "This question has reached the maximum posts" STATEMENT BY EBAY -- AND GEE WHIZ, I'VE SEEN SOME TOPICS REACH HUNDREDS OF PAGES -- BUT WHENEVER FOLKS GET TO POINTING OUT EBAY'S SCREWED UP POLICIES, EBAY EITHER DELETES THOSE POSTINGS OR RESTRICTS THEM . . . . LIKE THEY HAVE DONE THIS THREAD. GO FIGURE....)

TOPIC: OK....I am MORE than willing to BITE the hand that FEEDS me... This question has reached the maximum posts.

WHY NOT?? Ebay is!! LOL on my SELLER account...I just paid the SAME amount in seller FEEs that my teenage son paid for his FIRST CAR PAYMENT. LOL...2 DAYS AGO I was informed by EBAY that I don't qualify for the .99 sale...my DSRs are too low. THE ONLY DSR's I have been DINGED ON...ARE MY SHIPPING FEES AND I SHIP FOR FREE I was going to apologize for posting YET ANOTHER complaint on this SUBJECT.... But as a decade long seller on this "venue" I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! I want to file a SNAD against YOU EBAY, either that or I will be more than happy to send you documentation of the amount of fees I've paid YOU over the years to keep you in the place of "just a venue". Don't listen to me...EBAY...I'm just a speck in the grand scheme of things But...I've paid ALMOST as much purchasing on your sight as I have paying your sellers fees... something to sneeze on and throw away...as you obviously do.

While we feel your pain, we are not eBay employess. Send notes off to eBay about it. Call your local media and let them know what eBay is doing. Do whatever it takes to be heard! All of us here are pretty upset with how things are going also.

I'm sorry, there are no ebay employees here in the Answer Center. But I agree COMPLETELY with everything you just stated. Ebay is in the midst of a huge overhaul. And they are going to be REALLY sorry when they are finished, and they have driven away all their sellers who stuck by them through all the years they were growing into a large "IT" venue. With all the changes, they can kiss the "IT" factor good-bye. moonboo10 I wish you the best of luck. Many sellers are already moving into new venues to sell their items. I just hang around here now to find out the news about the asinine changes ebay is implementing. . . . there is a reason your stars are getting dinged. Ebay is giving coupons to buyers who are dinging their sellers. So really, they are rewarding their buyers for lying about their sellers in their feedback and DSR's. They are doing this to compensate the buyer for an "unsatisfactory" buying experience. Ebay is biting the hand that feeds them, and soon that hand will be gone.

Well, there is a reason your stars are getting dinged. Ebay is giving coupons to buyers who are dinging their sellers. So really, they are rewarding their buyers for lying about their sellers in their feedback and DSR's. They are doing this to compensate the buyer for an "unsatisfactory" buying experience.
Ebay is biting the hand that feeds them, and soon that hand will be gone.

"I SHIP FOR FREE" Yep you can do that , give away your item, call and email everyday and guess what have DINGED stars!!!!!! Pretty much, we know the system is flawed May is coming and things are going to continue to tank out. Ebay wants sellers to list (1 Cent listing---ooops but you don't qualify---OUCH), and offers 10% off coupons up to 100 dollars for customers that "complain", but heh it's all in the business plan. Sorry you got here late it has been all the rage... 1) announce changes (too many to count) 2) fee increases FVF (66%), but no more gallery fees thanks! 3) paypal freezes (21 days!!! and when they see fit) 4) change in searches based on DSR (where do you fall) 5) feedback changes in May no more negatives for buyers Oh---it is just sad---sellers at large have suffered for the same scum sellers that have made things a horror and ebay turned a deaf ear to..... All pretty sad and true welcome to be upset you have ALOT of company here best wishes Carol
