The many reason for boycotting Ebay are valid and justified. Ebay's recent haphazardly tossed together changes are a detriment to the site and are an arrogant corporate exibition of incompetence.

Ebay declares to the press that they are trying to discourage excessive shipping...yet in the next breath announce a "penny listing day" for all sellers to post 99 cent listing(which guarantees excessive shipping as no profit could be made otherwise).

Ebay declares that a 100% biased feedback system where ONLY the buyer can enter their opinions about their trading partner. Ebay mandates that the buyer receive an automatic positive...no matter how the buyer behaves or what they do. The seller is simply told to sign their name to the positive rating. Pointless...as anyone could readily see....except Ebay management.

Ebay proclaimes to the press that they listened to the sellers and are lowering fees...an outright deceprive LIE. A few cents dropped from initial listing fees combined with a hefty increase in associated fees equals a fee increase. Ebay should avoid treating the sellers like morons who can not add simple numbers.

Ebay then holds a carrot on a stick for volume sellers offering them discounts IF their ratings remain very high;..then (as was pointed out in Ebay's own forum by a buyer), Ebay gave discount coupons to a buyer who left negative feedback for a seller. Offering incentives to leave negatives? The conclusion is obvious.

Ebay is treating the sellers on the site like dirt and as such deserves every bit of negative press they get. A person has to trust their business partner and as a seller, I DO NOT TRUST EBAY AT ALL under their current management.

Consequently, I stopped listing in February and have no plans to start again on their site. For me, the boycott has never stopped.

I started selling on another venue and am quite pleased with the results so far. Ebay has lost me as an exclusive seller in the future no matter what it does to mend fences. At best, I would list on both sites....never again exclusively on Ebay.

Never. I will no longer recommend the site as a sales option to friends or as a buying site due to the animosity on eBAY.
