A squirrels story

Today the feline world lost a wonderful friend, Mosby J. Kat, or Kat for short.  Kat came to live with me on Easter 2005.  Cold, wet, skinny as a sack of bones Kat eventually came to like being an indoor animal after months (how many, who knows) of living outside.  Kat and I became fast friends and I was always welcomed by his meows of greeting when I came in the door.  Like me he liked Chilli Cheese Fritos and duck.  He also had a taste for hot dogs and tuna fish juice.  Kat passed away today after a brief bout of kidney problems which zapped him of his strength and in the end, his will to carry on.  Even though he had not communicated with anyone at the Vets, he gave me a meow when he saw me earlier today, but he was obviously in pain and had given up.  I promised Kat we would go home after he went to sleep and that he would not feel anymore pain and would be able to do all the things he loved to do, from walking around outside, to sleeping on the bed.  With that, Kat was ushered into a backroom and eventually gave up his ghost.  I hope his time here was a pleasant one and he knew how much he will be missed. 

You will be coming home very soon Mr. Kat, and you will feel no more pain.
